I found a job opening at this facility and applied on line and went to facility to check status..The staff welcomed me and sacrificed some time to talk with me.They were more than kind and I appreciate that they took the time to hear me and what I have to offer them and their facility.Thank you staff!!JM

Staff is always friendly and courteous. They conduct quarterly patient assessments to keep families informed of necessary changes concerning their loved ones. So far, I am pleased with their performance.

Our experience with Merry Wood Lodge was wonderful. My father in law was in the dementia unit. They have a caring, experienced staff. They had activities for the residents every day. He was always clean and neat, as were all the other residents I saw on that unit. Having managed dementia units, this can be difficult for this special group of patients. I highly recommend Merry Wood Lodge. I wish we had found it much earlier!

There are literal snakes at this facility. They are slithering down the halls, in the basement area, the mop buckets, in residents closets/clothes, under your loved ones bed/mattress, everywhere. This is not an exaggeration. Given the facility is on a swamp, I guess it’s “expected”? I can’t wrap my head around the fact that this is overlooked and that this place is still functioning. This facility has become known by all healthcare in the county as “the facility with the snakes”.

Be ware if any of your love one in that place! They drugged these poor elderly ppl in the memory care!! They was fine got over 100k for elderly abuse!!They killed elderly people when there is no hope no life insurance or any medical treatment they don’t care & my friend was killed there because they didn’t want to be bothered!! Shame on them and shame on red oak legal team!!! Be aware!!!!! They have Been reported

It seems everytime I call to check on loved one no one answers the phone in Unit 2. Left message on voice mail and still no one calls back. Saturdays are the worst where no one answers at all on switchboard.

Being a newly amputee (leg) VA gave me three choices,and by choosing Merry Wood was the best decision i made their rehab staff is excellent. Their devotion, patience and the amount of carrying to see you do better needs to be praised so thank you and a very big Thank You

My mom has been with Merry Wood Lodge since 2014. I would recommend the nursing home to other. Great environment to have your love ones.

I have a question really .... not quite a review...Does the nursing home allow smoking OUTSIDE of the building?Are the residents allow to smoke outside?You know when employees need a smoke break... where do they go to smoke?I would appreciate a reply

Merry would Lodge was so good to my Mom.The staff was amazing. They made all of our family feel so welcome. It’s not like your regular rehab or nursing home. It’s clean. It’s a happy place. The staff, CNAs are excellent.Thank you all for all the kindness love you all showed our Mom.

When my fiance and I were looking for a memory care facility for his mother, we did not have a clue where to go. We knew we wanted her nearby and asked around for recommendations. Merry Wood Lodge was always mentioned. This place is Heaven on earth. We loved the staff, the care and the love given our Mom. I can not sing high enough praises about this place.. Thank you for everything you did to assist us and mom until she passed on to be with Dad.

Moved Mom into Merry Wood last week. What an answer to prayers! The staff there is just amazing! Everyone is so genuinely caring and concerned and committed to helping the residents. It’s heartwarming to see how well they work together(very rare). And with smiles!For the first time, in a long time, I can breathe a little easier, knowing my sweet Mom is truly being cared for properly with kindness.
