This place is amazing! Best selection and prices of plants in the whole area especially for indoor tolerant ones. Just wish they were either open Sunday or later on the days they are open so my husband could come with me to shop

I was impressed by this place! They had a big variety of healthy plants, like nowhere in town!!! The gentleman I talked to was very nice and patient, explained to me about his plants. I found everything I wanted and ended up buying many. I sure will return here.

Not a very friendly atmosphere. Prices are a little expensive. People are not too friendly. They tend to just walk away while you are talking to them. Kind of rude if you ask me. Not the way you should be treating paying customers or really anyone. Act like it's the end of the world if you take a tray even when you have just spent $15 on 2 6in plants. Word of mouth goes a long way!!!!

I went today and bought 8 plants I wanted to buy everything it was beautiful ? the only thing I didn’t like was that they didn’t give me a receipt the lady told me she doesn’t give no receipts because it doesn’t print after My purchase was finalized . If I come back please fix that !

Great selection of garden and house plants with gorgeous ceramics and yard decorations interspersed here and there. There are some MASSIVE plants on display, showing that the folks who run this place know what they're doing. I'll be back.Updating June 2022 - This was my 3rd visit. Since the first time I visited Smarty Plants, I've shopped at most of the nurseries and plant stores in and around Florence, Decatur, and Huntsville. I was impressed with the quality of the plants I found here the first time, and now that I've been to all of those other places, I appreciate that quality even more.I am fairly knowledgeable about house plants. If I see something I really want, I'm willing to pay extra for a bigger plant. There is nothing more frustrating than paying that extra money for a large, established plant, only to discover when I get it home that I've purchased a large pot of soil with a barely rooted, juvenile plant. It's insulting and dishonest.Smarty Plants is the only place I've found in North Alabama that doesn't overpot everything so they can charge more. I can't overstate how much I appreciate their honest approach to their business.I've purchased 15 different plants here over the last 2 years, and just like those I purchased the first 2 times I shopped here, the 4 plants I bought this week are healthy and actively growing. All of them are in pots appropriate to the size of their white, fuzzy, and happy root systems, in soil mixes that work for their individual needs.This most recent experience confirms for me that going anywhere else is a waste of my time and money.
