Friendly clean and what I needed

We really like the Athens store. It's clean and well-lit and not in a questionable part of town as many HFT stores tend to be. But, I have noticed that this particular store seems to run out of stock on promotional items consistently and unusually fast. Can't tell if this is an issue with corporate stocking levels (they don't send this store enough of these items) or if there's a cartel of locals who swoop in and grab these items to resell... Either way, I don't go to the Athens store if I'm specifically going for a particular sale item or promotion because it almost always ends up being a wasted trip. Hopefully the store will get a handle on this issue sooner rather than later. Other than that, it's a great store with friendly, helpful employees who actually make themselves available to answer questions or help locate items.Overall, HFT has been a blessing and a curse for me. The tools are very affordable and they generally hold up to heavy use. I worked as a heavy truck mechanic for several years and used quite a few of the original Pittsburgh branded HFT tools, including impact sockets. I broke maybe two or three of the cheaper pry bars but everything else held up to daily use in a big shop. Form, fit and finish have improved since that time, so even though I pretty much own every tool I need, I always manage to find something to buy - even if it's consumables like sandpaper or reciprocating saw blades, tarps, etc. I do not, however, buy the batteries. Those just don't last and are not worth the savings.

Severely understaffed. Management and hiring issues. Staff on duty are really great there's just not enough of them

They have very decent prices for the items they sell. Tools will get the job done, but not very durable. My only issue is when checking out the cashiers try to get you to sign up for all the promotions. Try to hard to get your email address.

Great deals on tools! Maybe not the highest quality tools but I have bought many tools here that I have had no problems with. It’s easy to get in and out quickly when you need something in a hurry. I like getting email receipts and emailed sales flyers.

Really great place to get tools people are really nice they help you find what you need and just all around really good place to shop for tools and not just for tools they got solar panels they got electrical stuff welding stuff that's awesome place for real

A female employee showed bad ATTITUDE instead of having customer service. We spent nearly $300.00 with your business just to be treated hateful bc SHE HAD TO DO HER JOB. SHAMEFUL

They have a good selection of Chinese made stuff that will last as long as most other Chinese made stuff sold for more at other places
