We recently took three lamps to Decatur Lamp Co., and were greeted by the owner (very personable). He agreed w/things we felt needed to be done and also suggested a few other things; of which we agreed upon. The turnaround time re: getting the lamps back, as well as the price we were charged, were both exceptional. If you are needed something for one of your antique lamps or kerosene lamps this is the best place to go. They have a wonderful selection of shades for all the different types of lamps. They also have a wide variety of pulls for your lamps. Many beautiful antique lamps for sale also. They also do repairs on your lamps. Check them out!

Very good place. He can also get your brass refinished like on antique clocks and such. Just take your brass off your items and he'll send it off for you. He has good prices and is very responsive to questions and always willing to assist you. I've used him for several years. He also finishes antique door knobs to the finish you would like. If you don't want to replace those beautiful door knobs then have him to do them. He pays attention to detail and is very organized.

Wonderful experience! Mr Standridge shared useful information about my floor lamp which needed rewiring. He was eager to work on the lamp and when he asked me when did I want it, I said today laughingly and we left. This was 2:00PM on Friday. He called at 5:00PM and said I could pick it up tomorrow. Unbelievable! I will return and hope that you will trust him with your business.

I was in Alabama on business several weeks ago and while driving through Decatur I noticed several beautiful lamps in the storefront window. I had some time so I parked and went into the store. They have beautiful antique lighting - hanging fixtures, floor lamps and table lamps. I purchased two antique lamp finials that my wife adores and two others for lamps in the family room. They have a great selection of hardware. I was looking at two lamps but the owner was concerned about damage in shipping to upstate New York, so I opted at that time mot to purchase. I will just need to figure out how to carry one on a plane! Great store and a very pleasant staff.
