Went in the Decatur store this evening planning to purchase a sofa with cash. Noticed this curio close to the Service Desk and asked due to the scratches and crack in the wood if they would discount the current price. Store manager stated to our sales representative, “No, because I would not have something to put in its place.” They had already told me that this piece of furniture was discontinued. Not understanding the store manager’s reasoning…I asked for clarification. He gave me an excuse that corporate dictates the cost and he could “maybe” discount it $50.I explained that his answer would determine whether I would purchase a sofa from this company. Because the store manager had already told us he had previously placed a “SOLD” sticker on the cabinet because he had laptop’s displayed in the case and just recently removed said sticker. As this is my first negative review that I’ve ever written…I would hope that Badcock Corporate office might think re-training this store manager. He just lost your company a sofa and cabinet purchase over a measly $50 bucks. I assure you when I purchase laptops, I go to Apple not Badcock. And his statement that if he sold it, he wouldn’t have something to put in its place? Dude you literally have three other cabinets in your store. His laziness and piss poor attitude cost your company revenue and will hurt your reputation as my family will not be back.

Just recently I was waiting for them to deliver my God sister furniture. As the allotted time for the delivery began to wind down, I called the store to ask if they knew what was going on or if the delivery time was changed. Can u say whoever answered the phone was RUDE & straight up NASTY. If u want good customer service, I advise you to go somewhere else cause you won’t get it here. Needless to say, as I was getting ready to lock up & leave. They finally showed up!! No call to say we’re still on the waiting, we’re running late… NOTHING. The sad part was I wasn’t upset about them being late, it’s the lack of communication that did for me & the RUDE, NASTY Customer Service I received when I called them for an update. FYI… if u don’t have a pleasant attitude or demeanor, maybe you should NOT be working in a field where you’re going to interact with people. That’s rude & and nasty attitude can cause the business to lose a sale!! So if you’re looking for good customer service, GO SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

My sister’ furniture was not delivered on time, no one called or left message, and sold items I did not need. The items are not what she ordered. They don’t deserve not one star, but I had to in order to leave a review

I purchased a recliner on Feb 9, 2022 to replace a very old but still functional recliner we owned. I did not purchase an extended warranty (my fault, I guess) as I expected the recliner to last at least a few years. The one it was replacing was over 15 years old.... Not even two weeks after the one year manufacturer warranty was up, the recliner is no longer fit to sit in. Some wooden beam that should be attached at the front of the recliner, no longer is on one side, which is allowing the springs to turn loose on that side so you are sitting in a hole. I am very upset with this purchase. Be aware if you go to purchase living room furniture there, that you will want to get the extended warranty because this stuff is NOT made to last. You can see in the pics attached where the seat is leaning on the one side of the recliner. We do not have small kids in the home to be playing on the chair, so it's not about misuse at all.

I go in there this morning and find a refrigerator that I wanted to buy, but I needed them to hold it for 2 weeks. Manager said they couldn't hold it for me.So, I went to Electronic Express and bought refrigerator,range, washer and dryer.Badcock just called and said the manager changed his mind.I spent 3200.00 for everything already.I'll never be back.Electronic Express will hold items for 12 months.

Defective Dining Table!We bought close to $5,000 worth of new furniture for our new home including a kitchen dining table. Almost immediately we noticed that the finish was chipping away from the primer causing unsightly white streaks on a dark finished surface. We called the store and they sent out a technician to look at it. He told us that it should not be doing this and that it was defective. He offered to replace the table top immediately which he did. He also stated that if the problem persisted on the new table we should call the store. Fast forward a couple of months, the same thing began to happen to the new table. However, we noticed even more damage this time. In addition to the chipping there was also bubbling after very little wear and use. We called the store and they said they would send out a technician to look at the damage. They later told us to take pictures in lieu of the technician coming out and send the pictures to the store. We did as instructed. We received a call from the manager, Columba, stating that there was nothing she could do and that the table had been discontinued. Even with there being the same issue with chipping, which the technician previously said was a defect in the product, she refused to send out a technician to examine the table further and stated the bubbling negated any remedy. She blew us off and said, "Take it up with Corporate". She displayed horrible customer service and made us regret spending our money here! There are definitely other places to buy furniture.
