The only reason I took a star off is because they smoke inside and it chokes me to death.. but it will never stop me from buying parts there, plus the smell reminds me of my dad's old auto body shop he owned when I was growing up so it's nostalgic. Even tho it's a little further of a drive than some other part stores, it's definitely worth it and we have never had a bad experience with them. Now if they could only put the parts on too... ?”

They refused to reimburse me for my rental that I needed for the accident they caused, at least until the awesome people at Allen’s set them straight. They went above and beyond for me! Their work was pristine and they even did some minor touch ups that weren’t quoted or caused by the accident.”
“This store has best service I’ve ever seen I was there for twenty minutes and I saw them help a lady look for something in the parking lot in the rain. Then came and gave me a hand crimping a wire on a headlight. I’ve never reviewed anything but I had to say this”

“Calverts Auto is a very good place for excellent auto body work. My name is Deborah Day and I was side swiped by an 18 wheeler in Birmingham right after I left Carvana. He didn’t even stop. My right back door looked like a huge tiger dug his claws over and over where the spokes of his left front tire turned until “I” turned my steering to the left and got away from him. My car was a real catch. It is a 2013 Honda Accord Touring with only 58,000 miles on it. Perfect condition. A perfect used car inside and out. I made it home shaking. But I was about to be surprised soon enough. My insurance company wanted Jon to order used parts for my perfect car even though they were perfect when I drove it away. This occurred May 1. My agent did absolutely -0- for me. They Dont send a real adjuster out anymore! So for almost 3 1/2 months Jon had to argue, wrangle and do live video for the insurance company. He refused to do inferior work on a perfect car. I was about to lose it. Then finally Jon let me know it was over. We won! He ordered new parts and started to work. When finished, he did a great paint job on the right back door and the section on the back and right top. It’s perfect. I’ll be forever grateful to him for refusing to do inferior work. After all was said and done the insurance agent in Nashville called me to beg me to accept used parts?!! He was so out of touch with his own company. I told him he was a day late and many dollars short.?”

I wont directly say names, but two well known mechanic shops in town (one on beltline and one on 31) have turned my smile upside down. These guys are the absolute definitions of hard working people. Working multiple jobs, probably even close to 24 hours a day, to make money and provide outstanding services. Had a mechanic who previously worked on my truck to fix one part, he admitted to accidentally breaking another part after I received it then tried to charge me $160 to fix it. Fleetpride fixed it for about $70 in less than 10 minutes. So less of work, they didn’t know what to charge, so I just dropped a tip. They’ve always charged great prices here and have always been pretty honest. They probably work on my vehicle more than I drive it and each time, they fix it, charge amazing decent prices and are quick to respond. Will always recommend this company.”

Eddy's in the past have always had an obscure part when needed. I called on a whim thinking worst case they can order a set, low and behold they had a set in stock! As stated in the other reviews, old school pop auto shop, worth their weight in gold. Support these family business, their knowledge regarding the products and applications is priceless!”

I stopped by because my lights were flickering on and off on my car so I went in and talked to William S. he came out and diagnosed my car and found loose wires on my battery. He ran in the store grabbed everything I needed for the fix and actually ran back out went above and beyond and cleaned my connections and replaced my terminals. After finishing he double checked my alternator to see if it was operating properly he was very professional and friendly. It’s so good to have people still have the passion to help like he did thank you”

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned 2020 Cadillac XT5 from Lynn Layton 18 months ago. A few months ago I started having intermittent issue w/ what appeared to be the battery; however, at times, it would throw odd codes. I had the battery checked twice locally (I am in Athens) & was told the battery was fine. I admit, I put off calling Lynn Layton because of all the bad bad experiences I had w/ a Cadillac dealer in Huntsville on my previous XT5. Honestly, I just didn't have the energy to interact w/ a dealer who would surely give me a run-around on a vehicle w/ 'Bumper-to-bumper' coverage.
I finally broke down & called Lynn Layton on a Monday morning at 10:00 am & THEY ask ME if I could be there at 1:00 for them to look at it. WHAT!!??!! TODAY !!??!! YES!!!! I called my husband to warn him to be prepared to pick me up in Decatur & we would probably be making arrangements for a rental so I would have a vehicle for a few days. Cadillac-Huntsville always quoted me a 6-week wait time for a 'loaner' vehicle if I had to leave it.
I show up at 12:45. The service guy (I regret not having his name) met me w/ his code reader thingy in hand. He hooked it up & said "Lets walk inside to see what the print out says". It shows I have a faulty Fuel Pump Module ?? He informs me I need to leave my vehicle. As I am processing 'leave my vehicle' a sweet lady walks in to say "I don't have a 'loaner' so if you can give me a couple of minutes, I will see what I can do". Before I can say "WAIT! WHAT?!" She steps back in to say "I just put a HOLD on a rental at Hertz. I'm now calling them to make arrangements." She hands me a bag to gather what I need & says "We will have someone here to take you to Hertz in a few minutes. Also, if they tell you that you owe anything, you call us back & DO NOT PAY them." AGAIN!!!! WAIT!?!? WHAT!?!? Why didn't I get this from the Cadillac Dealer in Huntsville????????
I was probably at Lynn Layton 45 minutes (or less) & by the time I drove away from Hertz w/ the rental car, I was in a whirlwind. I found myself trying to grasp what I was feeling. . . These days, customer service seems to be a lost art; however, it is NOT lost at Lynn Layton!! I felt like ROYALTY!
I picked my car up on Wednesday morning. I drove to Hertz. They cleared my ticket & took me to Lynn Layton. Lynn Layton handed me my keys & I headed home SATISFIED!!!”
