McKelvey Chevrolet was closed when we arrived to look at a Trailblazer. We pretty much decided that was the car we wanted and resigned to the fact we would have to wait the whole weekend before we could purchase the car. Cole happened to drive by and wanted to know if he could help . Long story short: He let us test drive, push all the buttons and kick the tires. We told him we made up our mind and wanted the car. He opened the office, got the computers online then test drove our trade-in. He gave us a fair price, and before we knew it, we had a new car. He said it was the 1st time he ever sold a new car wearing flip flops. We told him it was the 1st car we ever bought when the dealer was closed. You could not ask for better service. I seriously doubt any other automobie franchise would open the door. They would simply tell you to come back when dealership was open for business. It was, without any doubt, the best experience I ever had purchasing a vehicle. No pressure, no pressure, no pressure.

They are so friendly and professional here. No pressure to buy if you are not ready. Great people and great service. We have used McKelvey's for many years and never had a problem .

We were visiting the Alexander City, AL area when our 2020 Buick would not shift out of park. We tow the car behind our motorhome. One of the owners, Reid McKelvey arrived in the company’s wrecker and took my car to their dealership. Reid personally worked on my car and found a bad body control module. He called me 3xday to keep me updated. He literally had to dismantle the entire center console to replace the module. Unfortunately, the new module was faulty and would not download the software from the car. We could not wait for a new module so Reid configured the car to allow us to tow it home to Florida. He refused to charge me anything for all his labor which had to be 10 hours or more and would not charge me for their rental car. He said if he couldn’t fix it, he couldn’t charge me anything. These are honest, down to earth people. I’ll drive 500 miles to buy my next car from them.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. MY HUSBAND TOOK MY CAR TO THEM THE SERVICE GUY SAID I NEEDED A VACUUM HOSE THAT WAS CAUSING MY EMISSION LIGHT TO COME ON HE CHARGED MY HUSBAND 70$ AND TOLD HIM WHEN I BROUGHT IT BACK WHEN I WENT ON VACATION NEXT MONTH THAT I WOULD ONLY HAD TO PAY 140$ WELL WHEN THE TIME CAME TO TAKE IT BACK I HAD A FLAT AND A DEAD BATTERY SO I HAD MY ONSTAR TOW IT. I CALLED AND TOLD THE SERVICE GUY THAT THE REASON THE WRECKER SERVICE WAS BRINGING IT AND I WOULD JUST BRING THE NEW BATTERY WHEN MY HUSBAND WAS OFF THE FOLLOWING DAY, HE SAID OK. HE CALLED ME A COUPLE DAYS LATER AND TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE ?. I TOLD HIM THATS NOT WHAT YOU TOLD ME. HE SAID WELL YOUR LIGHT IS COMING ON BECAUSE YOU HAVE MISMATCHED TIRES. I TOLD HIM THAT WOULDN’T MATTER. I HAD ALL THE SAME SIZE TIRES JUST ONE DIFFERENT NAME BRAND BECAUSE THE TIRE PLACE DIDNT HAVE THE SAME TIRE AND HE SAID AND A DEAD BATTERY AND CHARGED ME 140$ TO GET MY CAR AND MY EMISSION LIGHT WAS STILL ON . I HAD TO TAKE MY CAR TO EDWARD CHEVROLET TO GET MY CAR FIXED AND PAY THEM 240$. I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THEM SINCE I PURCHASED MY CAR IN 2015 BRAND NEW. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT THERE EVER AGAIN.

Worst experience Ever!!!!!! We were experiencing transmission problems with our truck that only has 120,000 miles on it. Took it to this place, they said it needed a new transmission. Ok no problem do the work! We were waaaaayyy over charged and had to get our truck jumped off when we picked it up!! No problem with the battery before it was left at their shop!!!! Ridiculous!

STEER CLEAR!! A friend of mine took her Cadillac there to have a new transmission put in and had the WORST experience. When she FINALLY got it back after a month there were more problems than when she dropped it off and her son's necklace was also "missing" from the vehicle as well. Just wanting to give others the warning that she wishes she would have gotten.

Not very organized. Every time I called I got a different answer about when my vehicle would be ready. I understand that parts are hard to get but no repair should take over two weeks. Once the car was ready, I received no call to let me know it was ready. You would think that after 8 calls wanting to know when my vehicle would be ready, they would have called to let me know it was ready. Very disappointed in the service.

Brought in my Chevy 2500HD , they quickly worked me into the schedule and diagnosed this issue. Ordered the parts and had it fixed in no time. Great staff and facility. Thank you for the great service!
