I bought a puppy from Hickory Nut Kennels just a few weeks ago and I tell you that I checked out many kennels before making my choice and by doing so I found that these people's dogs sets them apart from any others. Mr. & Ms. Waldrop goes far out of their ways to breed, train and love each puppies born. You can take it to the bank that you won't want to invest your hard earned money on any other breeders than Hickory Nut Kennels. Great breeders! Dogs are high money wise today but you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap hunting dog go to Walmart or some shelter.

We absolutely are in love with our “Gus” that we purchased from HNK. Mr James is awesome & loves his puppies. Definitely will be back when looking for more labs.

We asked to touch the puppies at the outdoor blast. The people were very rude to my granddaughter. I understand they don’t want lots of hands on the puppies because of the virus but she is 2 and they were very rude.

We got our first pup from Hickory Nut Kennels [HNK] and are so happy. James and Liz were great from the onset. James listened to what I was looking for in a pup and took the time to get to know me. He made me feel a part of the 6 week process by sending pictures of mom and dad, regular videos of the puppies, providing helpful tips on what to do and expect from our pup, etc... You can tell HNK loves what they do and love their dogs. They are very fair on price, have beautiful and well behaved pups. Our little fellow is 6 weeks old and so far already let's us know when he needs to potty. HNK will be the only place for us when we are ready for another pup. Thank you for such a great experience James and Liz.

I purchased a male black Lab for my wife as a Mother’s Day gift (2020). James and Liz were easy to work with, and responsive to our needs. Kelly even personally drove our new puppy from Alabama to Arizona, and delivered him safely to our hands. We couldn’t be any more pleased with our new little buddy “Ranger”. We’ve had him 10 days now, and he’s completely house trained, smart as a whip, has adapted to his new home like he was born here, and he’s a beautiful dog as well. My wife and I bought two pups from Hickory Nut Kennels 4 1/2 years ago. GREAT dogs! Smart and easy to train. We duck and pheasant hunt both and they live in the house with us. 5 stars for Hickory Nut!
