This is our 2nd year going to The Horror in Tuscaloosa. Last year was amazing. This year was awful. In the waiting area there are palates to sit on, but no face painting or games like last year. (They have ax throwing you can do for an additional fee). We didn't have near as long of a wait this time as last year. The biggest let down this year was that we were rushed through over half of the haunted house. Admittedly we were a little slow. When we got scared it slowed us down. We had a person that had never been to a haunted house. We never stopped. The 2nd group caught up to us and then we were stuck with a staff member for over half of the haunted house yelling to not stop. We began speed walking and we're still yelled at. We had actors try to engage and she told them no they can't stop. It was the most unenjoyable experience. We paid nearly $30 per person. I spoke with the manager and owner (who were very nice) and the only thing that could be offered was an apology and a second time through, which we passed up since we didn't want to wait again and it wouldn't be as exciting since we had just been in. They weren't even that busy to constitutite rushing us. Total time there, less than an hour including parking and walking up.

Scared the whole family! There were all kinds of frightening creatures, ghosts, and ghouls popping out from everywhere. It seemed like it took a long time to get through the whole house so I felt like I got my money's worth, too. Gets better every year!

Any place that charges top dollar AND a parking fee is a rip off. You’re not Disney World. I just wanted to walk my kid up to your stupid haunted house. Crooks.

Great time. Loved that some characters came out of the attraction to chase kids in the parking lot.

This is the best haunted house I’ve been to. It’s really well crafted, creepy as hell, & in your face. You won’t be touched, but you’ll still want to run! They space groups out so every jump scare will catch you off guard. Great for high school & up. And there’s ax throwing while you wait!

Enjoyed. Price ($28) was at a good point compared to some I’ve experienced ($40+). They also have axe throwing ($10) this year which was pretty cool. Overall great atmosphere! They have a hay ride from the parking to the haunt.

Second year going, and very disappointed to see the exact same thing, which of course means it wasn’t scary at all!! Not only that, it was 8$ more this year, for a total of $28 per person, which means it’s way to expensive for a lot of Tuscaloosa’s families, including us whom paid $240, it doesn’t have the production for $30 ticket price, no matter the age because we paid that price for a 2 year old also, had a great time last year, not sure why the only change this year was ticket price

This was our second year coming to this event. It was pretty good for the first night. Lots of awesome new craftsmanship. To bad we were rushed the entire time and not allowed to appreciate or admire any of the hard work put into designing everything. All I kept hearing was speed up so we rushed through the Event to not get reprimanded. Very disappointed ☹️

If you’re looking for scares, you will definitely find them here! The actual walk through takes around 15 minutes, but it felt much longer. There wasn’t much of a dull moment; something was waiting around every corner. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a haunted house in the area!

Have been 2 years in a row and loved it both times! I love that even while you’re waiting you still get a fun experience because some of the scary staff walk around the waiting area scaring people and they have corn hole going and a scary movie playing to also help pass time! Definitely recommend!

The haunted house itself was great! Perfect mix of HUGE spooky animatronics and talented practiced actors with real characters and backgrounds. The make up and costumes were great. Minimal cheap "gimicks" like random banging and chainsaws made room for better themed and thoughtful scares. Negatives- portapotties are ONLY at the beginning and it does NOT wrap back around so if you need to go, GO! Also the spacing between the groups was not well thought out. We got really backed up inside the house and it kinda ruined the whole vibe when we had to just hang with the spooky actors and wait for the family ahead to keep moving. Also kinda sucks to pay to park in a plain literal gravel area.
