“One of my favorite plant stores in the greater Birmingham area. The staff is so friendly and willing to help. Small local business with a great variety of house and garden plants.”
“I love popping in here! Literally always makes my day. The folk that work there are so helpful with...quite frankly maybe v much beginner questions about different plants. Appreciate y'all!”
“The most BEAUTIFUL venue in all of Birmingham and the most INCREDIBLE staff!! We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding reception in the greenhouse, a place my husband and I have shopped at countless times. The plants, lighting, music, and seating made for the most intimate and beautiful night.
Gloria, our venue attendant, went above and beyond to ensure we had a seamless night. The care she put into setting up table decor and floral arrangements, directing caterers, and assisting guests far surpassed our expectations, and she was a joy to work with!
We are already looking for another reason to host an event at Leaf and Petal and would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a place to have an intimate and enchanting dinner party!!”
“The one if the last of its kind in this area. Friendly folks, best produce around, the only place to get good peaches and tomatoes and other fresh fruits and veggies. They also have plants and outdoor pots and frozen foods as well. You cannot go wrong by shopping here.”
“My experience at Hannah’s was amazing. I’m an out-of-state landscaper who was doing some last minute work for a hotel. They gave me great recommendations for local flora and were able to deliver my order straight to the hotel after making the order at 4:30 the previous day. All members were kind and very helpful and the plants looked great. I’ll never use Lowes or Home Depot after finding them, so happy to support local!”

Yesterday, the very rude clerk argued with us and kept yelling that you had to buy 15 of each to get the $2 discount. After discussing with the manager, she immediately took care of the situation and said no one deserved to be treated in that manner. We appreciate her listening and effort to make an embarrassing and humiliating situation right.”
“I seriously cannot explain how wonderful my experience at The Home Depot Hwy 280 was earlier this week. For the past few weeks my childhood dog has been fighting for his life, and what we all feared would happen reached it's fever pitch on Wednesday; We were advised to put him down as soon as possible. In the midst of freak sadness, I drove to The Home Depot determined to build a doggie casket - or, otherwise seen as, a simple wooden box. Walking through the doors, and back towards the lumber section, I quickly came to realize how little I knew about anything I was here to do. Which wood did I need? What hardware was necessary? Were my dimensions even right? I had no idea, so I just started wandering. Before I could stomach the thought that I should probably give up and just go home - I was approached by Austin S. Austin was incredibly nice and personable right off the bat, and quickly the conversation of my dogs soon-to-be passing came up. He showed me nothing but empathy and understanding. Without a second thought he dropped everything to help me not only finalize my dimensions, pick the best wood for the job, cut the lumber, and pick out hardware - BUT HE TOOK THE LEAD ON HELPING ME ASSEMBLE THE CASKET! It was service like I had truly never seen from an establishment, and I hope Home Depot never loses talent like Austin. To wrap up, he priced all the materials together and walked the fully built casket out to my car for loading. Thank you, Home Depot Hwy 280 - thanks to you my precious pet will be honored exactly the way I had hoped. This will never be forgotten!”
“Was in the area, Courtney has been talking for a while about wanting to buy himself a tool set. So we came into Home Depot. I've had some issues with other HD in the area especially when ordering items online from them so I figure it's always better to shop in store. We walked around for a while. Looking at tools, light fixtures and other items. Honestly, HD is one of those stores you can walk around in and just look at all sorts of items and be entertained for a long period of time! Though we did walk out empty handed, we still had fun looking at the various items sold in store!”
“Shout out to Doug & the team at Chelsea AL Tractor Supply. We’ve been shopping there for years for H/W & pet supplies and have always had a great experience. They always greet & offer assistance. Doug went above the call of duty last Sat. I am totally disabled & last week we had a bad tire go flat as we entered the parking lot. Although dozens of people drove in & out, not one offered help. Once Doug learned of the situation, he came out with the tools & did the entire tire change including inflating the never before used spare. It’s nice to know that there are still good people in the world. I would hazard to guess that if this had happened at the big blue or orange box stores, the story would have been different. Thx to everyone there for being a true neighborhood store & just good people.”
