Good Automotive places are hard to find this day and age. It’s getting harder and harder. I called 280 Auto Service today to get some insight on an oil plug problem to see if they had heard of it. The response I received from the owner was “I’m not interested in helping you with that”. I didn’t think I heard it right and asked if he just said that to a customer and he responds with “That’s exactly what I just said”. Not any recommendation or anything. Straight to the point and rude. I pray this company can find some guidance on answering phone calls and improve at this aspect.

We were so impressed with Bruce and his crew. Their honesty and integrity is second to none. We got our car back much quicker than anticipated and they even cleaned it up after being in it. Our car runs like new and for much less cost than we anticipated. I can’t recommend this shop enough. This will definitely be our go to mechanic shop in the future.

Our brakes gave out right before our journey home to Boston MA. These guys fixed our car same day had us on the road back home. Great professional service. Very kind people. Made our journey home peaceful. Thanks guys!!!

Wonderful shop to work with. We broke down when my alternator went out. John was so helpful knowing we were from out of town with our 15 month old son. He and his staff immediately checked it out confirmed it was the alternator that had went out. He got right on the phone called around till he found the alternator we needed. He explained it was on the other side of Birmingham and he would do everything he could to get it to his shop before closing time. We had to wait for a few hours for it to be delivered, but they have a waiting room with AC n a comfy sofa. They made us feel right at home and kept us posted as to when it should arrive. When it finally got there they immediately pulled it in got to work on it and had it replaced in 30 minutes. They charged my battery back up and they were also able to explain why the alternator had went out so fast. I didn't know my Jeep had 2 batteries and the second one was bad and apparently had been since I bought it brand new. It only had 169 miles on it when I bought it. There was a indicator light on when I purchased it n the salesman said oh that light doesn't mean anything its just letting you know your battery n alternator are working fine. Wrong that light really means there's a problem with the second battery and the computer system was shutting down non essential functions. Like the start n stop feature I never knew my Jeep had and frankly didn't want. John was very informative and gave me solid advice on getting the rest of the problems fixed when I get home n take it back to the dealership. I was extremely satisfied with their service hospitality and prices. I will definitely keep his number because we travel to Birmingham a lot and if I ever break down again I will definitely call him. Good mechanics are hard to find but he and his staff are really excellent. His shop is also very clean n safe not dirty n scary like a lot of shops I've been to.Thank y'all so much for getting us back on the road headed home.

Excellent! Highly recommend this auto shop. Got my car back the next day, but it was late when I had it towed to the shop.
