My absolute favorite place to camp! Beautiful scenery, quiet and shaded camp sites and clean bath houses! It’s my #1!

This is definitely one of the better ACOE campgrounds I have stayed at. The shower facilities were well-maintained and clean. The campground sites are also well-maintained. Had 0 issues checking in and the couple working there were very friendly. We will definitely be back.Playground: 2 different playgrounds in good shape.Picnic area: Big pavilion next to the river with good tables. Also several individual tables scattered throughout the area.

If you can handle no cell, internet or satellite signals, then this is a beautiful park. It is way out in the boonies, but that is part of the appeal. People were so nice. Shout out to Mr. Larry Harris.

One of the cleanest camps I've ever stayed at. The hosts are super friendly. The bathhouse in the campsite is SO clean! You feel so welcome there. Highly recommend this campground. The playground was enjoyed by our babies and they loved it!

We went to visit friends who were camping there..been going there since I was there a child...the rude lady told me we had to get online for day pass. went to top of Mountain to get service. It wouldn't take my email..I was told it's been this way since Covid and it's a federal park. drove 40 minutes to get there. Going to contact the Federal Parks and Recreation. Like the lady was gruff and rude which made it worst

I've been coming here for most of my life but stopped several years ago because it was badly managed then. When I say it was badly managed I mean there was always trash everywhere, bathrooms a horrible mess, the beach was covered in cigarette butts and dirty diapers! We reserved the Pavillion for today and when coming through the gate we encountered our first issue with the elderly people running it were extremely difficult to deal with. I thought that I'd still need to pay for parking so when I pulled up to the window I tried to hand him cash to which he asked what that was for. I told him that I had reserved the Pavillion but figured I'd still have to pay for parking and he said "no you can't come in unless you've purchased a day pass online prior to arriving. Again, I told him I'd reserved the Pavillion and the lady in there handed him a day pass tag and said I didn't have to pay. Well, it gets worse because my wife and daughter were several mins behind me in another vehicle and more family in two other vehicles including one that was towing one of the ski boats. My wife and one other vehicle were able to get in after going through the same confusing conversation with the people working the entrance, however, the family towing the ski boat was told they couldn't enter without a day pass and made to turn around. After several mins of then not showing up somebody went to check and he'd dri enough to the end of the road to try and get cell service. By that time, both of them were extremely upset after they helped reserve the Pavillion then been adamantly denied entry. I'll say that I've never seen this place so empty in my 43 years of visiting and being the 4th of july its typically so packed theres nowhere to park. If everybody's encountering the same issues I now know why but it was very clean and nice this visit. These places are monitored by elderly retirees but they need to be able to understand how things work and be able to carry on a clear and concise conversation without assuming they're correct in every situation.

Loved it! Clean and quiet and huge. I'm positive we didn't explore the entire area. And you're forced to live in the moment as there is absolutely no cell service. The playgrounds are huge and the ground under is cushioned by shredded rubber from recycled tires(I think). So when you do fall, it doesn't hurt as much. It's such a great place with great people. We had so much fun.

Burchfield Branch is a pretty park ! We were in space 6 on the water and it was so peaceful !Our trailer is 27 feet and we had no problems backing into the spot.Dump site was close by and paved areas to walk the dog. There is ZERO cell/ internet service and we actually enjoyed that !The camp hosts were all so nice.I gave it a 4 star for several reasons. They list laundry and when we arrived were told it was for employees only.Dogs are required to be leashed except camp hosts dogs were off leash

This hidden gem is a must for nature lovers. The campground has two loops, one on the river and one tucked into a beautiful tiny valley, nestled between craggy hills. There is a small babbling brook that runs throughout. No cell service or TV, limited radio reception.Sites are small, and some too close together, but the setting is majestic.Even rainy days delight you as little waterfalls spring out of the rocky crevices.Nothing to do there but enjoy peaceful quiet nature.

Nice place to go camping for the weekend. Clean and well equipped sites, bathrooms, and other facilities. Stunning views of the river during sunset. No cell service, with the closest being about 5 minutes drive away at the Jefferson County line

Beautiful, private, stunning views, a 10 out of 10 on campsites. The sites are gorgeous, huge, so much space between campsites. Very friendly staff. Be warned tho, it's remote, no internet.
