I used to carry my vehicles here to get them worked on. Not anymore! I pulled up the other day and they just stood their staring at me and acted like they didn't wanna have anything to do with me or my vehicle.Yes they do good work and they're probably awesome people. But after my last experience, I'll find me another transaction mechanic

These guys are not only good transmission techs, but they seem to be good, honest people. A few years ago, a friend of mine took his Z71 to the dealership because it wouldn't shift gears correctly. They told him the transmission was slipping badly and needed to be rebuilt, quoting him over $2,000. He dropped it off here to have them rebuild it instead of the dealership, but they called him an hour later to come pick it up. Instead of taking his money by rebuilding a good trans, they changed a $20 filter, and the truck ran like it was new again!! Instead of making a quick, easy dollar, they saved him thousands, and made customers for life! Because of that experience, I only deal with them when I have transmission problems. Having been ASE certified years ago, I do most of my own work, but when friends or family ask me where they can take their vehicles for major work, I send them to Escambia Transmission. Shannon really knows his stuff, but I usually talk to Joey; both are extremely knowledgeable. If you need transmission/transfer case, or differential/gear work, these guys will take care of you!
