Arrived today at 11 to take a tour of the place, they are closed. They list their hours on Google (updated 5 weeks ago) that their current hours are Thursday & Friday only, 10-2. While we sat in the parking lot trying to come up with plan B, a car pulled in. We drove around and asked if they were open. She said no, they have a private event this weekend. I asked how we were supposed to know that? She responded that it's "posted on social media." She had a bit of a tude going and was not one bit apologetic. We also tried to call, and the call would not go through.

I cannot say enough about the stunning wedding my daughter experienced in May 2022 at the Swift-Coles Historic Home. The backdrop of the beautiful trees, landscape and of course the historic home in the pictures is amazing. Katherine Graham provides the event planning at Swift-Coles. Katherine took the time to understand the vision my daughter had for her wedding and transformed it into "real life".. The most beautiful wedding she could have ever imagined. Thanks Katherine.. if there were more stars I would give them.

Cool looking old historic home, but it wasn’t open to the public. I just quickly hopped out and snapped some pics after a local recommended driving by it. Read the sign for more information about it.

Wonderful historical home. The furnishings are displayed in a way u can appreciate them n how they were used by the Swift family. There is a book full of wonderful history facts, family letters and pictures of home history.Wish the boys bedrooms had been open for viewing as this is the area Mr. Nix used as his apartment. It is definitely worth your time if u enjoy history. The home is a gem in Baldwin County.

Great experience! Would highly recommend this tour to anyone intrested in Historic homes. The owner of the house was a world explorer and adventurer and they have some of his findings on display including 2 amphoras that were dicovered at the bottom of the metteranian sea!!
