The one in charge (Wanda) is not an honest person. The dogs there have more morals than she could ever have in her entire life. She DOES NOT have the dogs best interest in mind. Filthy cages and dogs fighting. They are never taken out for walks. They sleep in their own fetus. They have around 300 dogs and feed them once a day. And just wondering WHAT DOES WANDA DO WITH ALL THE ADOPTION MONEY AND DONATION MONEY. It doesn’t go towards the dogs. I can guarantee you WANDA isn’t NON PROFIT. Half of the dogs have the mange right now. Their solution was to put them all in the same cages

I adopted my precious Trudy from an adoption event that Second Chance held at PetSmart in 2016. She had lived with them for 5 years. I am so very thankful that they are a no kill shelter or I never would have found my girl. Trudy entered heaven September 30, 2022. As soon as my heart heals I am going to adopt another dog from them.

I adopted this little Cutie, Cotton, from the Second Chance Shelter. The receptionist explained he had his shots and he was ready to be adopted. He seemed fine and everything the day that I got him but I noticed the next day he was very sick. Upon taking him to the vet I found out he has kennel cough, a upper respiratory infection, fluid in his lungs, and may have dog flu (still waiting on the test to come back), and he has a skin infection on his rear that has to be treated with topical cream. While I appreciate everything the shelter does in giving these dogs a second chance it’s rather concerning that Cotton had that many issues that was not mentioned or treated for. As a new owner luckily I can afford to take him to the vet for treatment but it’s quickly racked up a rather expensive vet bill and I’m concerned other new owners wouldn’t be prepared for that.

I saw my puppy that was missing on their Facebook page, and called them to let them know. After I went there and verified it with photos of her, she was released to me. I really thank them for the care that they shown myJ Lo, they gave her all her different shots and had her fixed, all of which I had planned on doing, so this was God's grace, and so is 2nd Chance Shelter

I would give 10 stars if possible. They definitely had their hands full with so many pups that need their furever home, but they were still out there making sure the kennels were being cleaned, and everything was being taken care of. They were super helpful in helping me to get exactly what I was looking for and everyone was super kind. I couldn't recommend enough. 2 thumbs up!

I found my baby here today, Ella she the most loving dog and loves to ride. She very happy and me too. I have look for months to find the right one and I got her today. They workers where very nice and explained everything too us. I would highly recommend them.

Wonderful place to adopt. Very nice staff who care alot for all the dogs that come to the rescue. If your looking for a best furry friend please go to Second chance rescue. Your friend is there waiting for you. Give your heart and home to a wonderful dog who needs your love and hugs they will love you back 10 time more.
