They don't care about the pets. Just the money. Claims they did bloodwork on my cat and results in minutes?? Gave shots and expensive food. That's it. This cat is probably poisoned and dying. 400.00 later and nothing was done.

I am a veteran of 2 tours in Kandahar, returned home to my family passing away in close proximity leaving me a sole survivor except for this cat who was tossed out of a car window in my presence. He was smaller than my fist and now he’s 22mo old & has some problems with his health I can’t identify.
I brought him to the Red Barn out of convenience but wish I never had. They blew off a video of him profusely shaking while trying to sleep, said they did bloodwork, gave him a 24hr. appetite stimulant (he hasn’t eaten in days) threw in a can of catfood, now $364 later (I get VA $1K per mo but he’s My pal and Best Friend!) he’s so much worse off sleeping all the time but jumping up yelling to me. He’s not eaten in 22+/- hours, 0 litterbox use and I feel this is leading to a very serious problem so I’ll go without eating myself to afford taking him in to someone who knows what a pet means to an alone vet like me to hopefully get him back to himself.
All I can say is shame on you for rushing through and sending us out in the quickest possible manner. He is my entire world, who I wake up & go to sleep with. I’ll never step foot in there again.

The only vet we could find close to use that would help our Rooster. They have also taken great care of one of our dogs! The staff are polite and friendly. They are very quick and helpful.

Terrible place the doctor only cares about $$$$ and not our 4-legged babies if you ask me if I recommend this place noooonoo nooooo my dog lost his life just 2 weeks after leaving that terrible place and the doctor moments before said my dog I had hopes of living and my dog didn't make it. I spoke right when I got home to tell them about my dog, they didn't care, I waited for them to say that they would return $680 that I paid that afternoon and I spoke to ask about it and their response was that it was no longer their problem, I don't know. because here you have the option to give a star ? because I really don't give them any

Worst animal clinic there is. Took our dog 3 times because he was feeling bad and not looking too good. Started off as a foot injury, they said he was fine and would heal with time went back and they gave him medicine because he wouldn’t get better then today we took him once again and they said his lungs were looking bad and he could have a bacteria that hunting dogs get. They said he would get better. He passed before we even got back home. They failed to properly check my dog out & diagnose the problem, and was very careless. If you love your animals take them else where.

Just not the same now that the new vet is here. My dog had been seen here since he was just a few months old. He was given a clean bill of health at that time. As he aged, he began panting without exertion or heat of any kind. Each time we were in the office, I'd ask about his panting, only to be ignored. Keep in mind this is my 2nd Pomeranian & they are known to have certain health issues. Fast forward to present, my dog now has heart murmur and collapsed trachea. I'm not saying they could've prevented this, but they could've at least tried to help. I take the dog in to a fill in vet at this location & suddenly his trachea is completely collapsed and has a heart murmur. This didn't happen overnight and they know it. I do feel his years were shortened by this oversight. I'm very disappointed and pray this doesn't happen to another pet. I can't understand why they would do this to us.

We went on two vacations these past two months and left our babies at Red Barn both times. They are amazing there ! I know that my dogs aren’t always the quietest and they were treated so well. Love these peoples!

I had to take my son’s Doberman, Charlie, in for parvo. They were friendly & very professional. My son sent me with $200 cash. The treatment came with a $308 price tag & a 50/50 chance of life. When I told them my son only sent $200 but would cover anything else on Monday (this was a Friday). They were going to give the food they sent at no cost but were literally going to remove some of the medications from the bag. This does not sit well with me but I understand to an extent. They have to get paid too. However, the cost of treatments are very expensive. If you can’t pay they won’t work with any payment plans. Most all vets want cash up front and this one is no different. The reason I wasn’t happy with Charlie’s visit is because parvo is a death sentence for most. Them taking meds but giving food was upsetting. I have food it’s the medical I needed. Thankfully, I had enough on my card to cover the other $108+change. If you have local people that work and can make payments you should allow some sort of payment plan. It’s a hard time for all of us. The lack of compassion is not needed in these times. Also if you have a dog with parvo, the medication is not a luxury but a need. RB is no different than any other vets around that I know of. If your pet needs help, they will help, provided you have the $$$ upfront. I gave Charlie 8 ccs of Pedialyte every 15 minutes for 36 hours along with the medications and iv fluids as prescribed. I also added some vit b12 & vit c. It was rough and there were moments I thought he wasn’t going to pull through but he did. If they would work with people and have a little more compassion I’d of been more happy with their services.

This vet and its staff are responsible for euthanizing at least 30 healthy, if not more, dogs of the Humane Society from Gadsden, AL, at the request of Director John Crane and using a van to transport these animals that is supposed to be used for rescue. Other vets in the local area have refused to euthanize these healthy animals and more dogs are slated to be euthanized this coming week. Please let the new vet that took Dr. Creel's place know that this is not acceptable to the animal lovers that bring their animals to this Animal Hospital for care.
