Had to get a Covid and flu rapid test. Pharmacy techs were busting their butts and were still so friendly and helpful. Melissa was so sweet and helpful regardless of all the chaos going on. Also, they said that it would take 30 mins to have my results and it only took 15. Thank you guys!

Pharmacy drive-thru is unbelievably slow, or better yet the pharmacy is closed during the hours they are supposed to be open. After 3+ years of frustrating experiences I will be transferring all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy.

Literally the worst pharmacy I've ever used. Constantly understaffed, zero communication.

Walgreens pharmacy is THE WORST. It was once pretty good but now the business model is such that it makes it impossible to trust them. Not enough pharmacists and the techs are incompetent. The most recent examples are: 1) they didn't fully fill a prescription ( 2 months of epilepsy pills instead of three months) and when they looked into it, told me that there was no way to confirm because the computer camera from that day wasn't working; and then 2) didn't reverse a prescription that wasn't picked up so I had to spend 1 hour on the phone with the insurance company to remedy their incompetence when I attempted to pick it up at a later date. They have caused me so much time and money lately that I can't possibly use them anymore. We now use CVS and the difference in customer service is night and day. Do yourself a favor, go with a local pharmacy if possible. We can't because our insurance doesn't have them on the approved provider list.

While my friend was in town last week, her mom told her to enjoy her vacation, but also told her to "do something crazy". She had to think long and hard as to what they would be, but then decided that she was going to get a piercing as her something crazy. After the piercing we needed to find a bottle of saline solution. Unfortunately Publix did not have one, so we decided to go to Walgreens instead. I would have never known that there was a Walgreens on Clairmont, until looking. I honestly thought the closest location was Homewood near the Vulcan statue. But was super happy to find this one. We came in she found what she was looking for and we left. Super simple and easy. It's great to know there is a location in Birmingham. It is open until 10pm which is great as most pharmacy like stores close at a certain time, but this one is open later, which is honestly a god send in certain situations.

Walgreens has gotten to busy every where and lines are long! Forget trying to call store. Does no good to call ahead then wait hours in lines!

Either they have no concept of customer service or they don't care.

I called and confirmed that they received the prescription from my physician. They said on the phone that it would ready in 20-30 minutes. I arrived to pick it up about an hour later expecting it to be ready as they indicated. I waited 12 minutes in line to tell them I was there. They got my information and told me to be seated. 1 hour later they handed me my prescription. The phone information was not accurate.

Specifically regarding the pharmacy- regularly out of medication & perpetually understaffed. This has been the case for several years now. It's challenging to get anyone on the phone, if you can at all. This is especially frustrating when you are having to transfer a prescription to a different pharmacy or have any other need that is outside the scope of their automated system. Also, as others have noted- do not bother making an "appointment" for any sort of immunization. If they are too understaffed to answer the phone in a reasonable time, they won't be able to honor your appointment either. I tried this once and won't do it again. Have also seen others standing around waiting for their appointment well past the time it was scheduled for.

Went in to see if they had an antibiotic for my sick 5 year old that my local pharmacy was out of due to back order issues. They did and I asked for it to be transferred. I said that I would be waiting. 1 hour later the rx had not even been transferred. My sick child and I had been sitting in the waiting room the entire time with no update. Completely unacceptable. We left and Publix is now filling the rx. Communication is key in customer service.UPDATE!!!! this pharmacy finally called my local pharmacy TWO days later to get the copy of my child’s ANTIBIOTIC. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Thankfully Publix had already done what a normal, professional pharmacy is supposed to do and transferred and filled the rx.

what is the point of allowing the option to set your pick up time if the staff cannot abide by your request? it also isn't very vise to throw a new person on a register that clearly has no idea what he's doing during a busy peak.

What is the use to making an appointment to get a flu shot and you finally get it an hour later?
