We had a really great experience with U-Pack, moving from Pittsburgh, PA to Hoover, AL. It was incredibly affordable and easy. We used their large option which is a 28 foot trailer (not the pods) for our 3 bedroom home. We were worried about drop off and pick up not being prompt and had absolutely nothing to worry about. Our trailer was dropped off on time, picked up the following morning, and scheduling delivery was a breeze. We ended up having to using the storage option offered by U-Pack which just left all of our belongings on the same trailer for a few months and that process was seamless. Payment is easy, pricing is up-front and honest. It saved us a lot of money to pack our belongings and then hire help to load and unload versus hiring a traditional moving company. I can't say enough good things about the experience and would recommend this to anyone.

The easiest moving experience we've ever had. They truly are customer centered and worked with our needs throughout the process. From everyone in customer service to the distribution centers and the drivers, couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience! The dashbaord they have set up is easy to use and thorough. If we ever move long distance again, we will certainly use them again! My only headache- the bulkhead and ramp are a beast- be prepared and make sure you have muscle on hand and read the instructions carefully (though the Bham supervisor worked with us on our lack of reading and I can't thank him enough for this compassion and understanding!!)

U-Pack saved us a lot of money for a cross country move. Anyone that we talked to was very professional and kind. There are no gimmicks or gotchas with fees. You pay for your containers and you fill them up and you unload them. Driving through multiple states is stressful. But driving through multiple states with everything that you own… that’s another level of stress and they take it away. If you don’t mind putting in the work of a traditional move, go to U-Pack and all that money that was suppose to go to just moving your stuff, you can have to buy new stuff :) or just keep in your pocket. Thank you U-Pack!

This review is well deserved. Yes we were apprehensive at first as we never heard of this. We were able to hold our date. And any changes we were able to make up through that day. Very efficiently contacted us the whole time. Super kind and on time as they stated they would be. Explained how to use the truck and what to do. We did the truck that comes to your home drop off trailer and pick up 3 days later or when you call them and let them know you finished. Everyone was professional and easy to work with . I called several times due to skepticism. But assurance was always given and the truck arrived as stated. My husband did ask that I include 1 thing he would like to see changed, which is a wider loading ramp as dolly barely fit. However this is not a deal breaker, will recommend them to others and if we ever have to move again we will use them for big or small moves. Thanks ABF

Our initial scheduled movers fell through the friday before we were scheduled to move. (Our fault for underestimating how much stuff we had) So we thought there was no hope. But we call u-pack that same Friday and they had two 28’ trailers at our house the following Monday! We had them loaded Tuesday and they picked them up on Wednesday. We are now in our new home (2k miles away) and they delivered one trailer ahead of schedule. We are waiting on the second one, but it’s nice to have some of our stuff so early. Best price I was quotes the 2nd rep that helped me went above and beyond and made sure the service was needed was accessible to the location even though it took a day or so. Did not push to sell the service with out making sure it Would work

Don’t use this if you want your stuff in a few days. Make sure you dedicate a few days off work to wait for your container to be delivered.Edit to add, I upped my rating because there Birmingham delivery guy was just fantastic! Definitely saved it for this ordeal.

I am a veteran mover with a multiple corporate and DIY moves under the belt. I recently used U-Pack for a relocation from FL to AL after researching all the available options for my move. I was very pleased with the level of customer service, the pricing transparency and the overall responsiveness and dependability of drop-offs and pick-ups of trailers. This is a great option if you are comfortable packing and loading yourself or by using contracted assistance. It also provides the convenience of more time to load and unload than with a DIY truck option and much less expensive than most of the DIY shipping contain options. I highly recommend U-Pack as a cost-effective, dependable, efficient option for a hybrid DIY move.

They charged us $100 extra for there ramp taking up space. Like really we could of got a company to pack for us. Don't recommend!!!!!

The prices was great for a move from Alabama to DC area. The company was very organized and easy to schedul . The only drawback is not knowing delivery times. It would be fine not knowing g well in advance but the day as soon as they know and a time range once they know.

They made my cross country move so easy and affordable. Service was great; all items were intact without issue, and this was such an easy way to move myself! I highly recommend if you are trying to save money on a long distance move!
