I moved to the Birmingham area a few years ago. Tameron is the largest dealer in the area and based on my experience with other Honda dealerships, I expected quality care since most people in the area buy, service, and sell their vehicles with Tameron... boy was I WRONG.
When I tried to purchase a vehicle from them in 2022, the salespeople tried a bait and switch where we discussed a price for a vehicle only for me to come-in and hear about all of the non-negotiable "dealer markups". I ended up buying my Honda from a different dealership that was transparent in price and more pleasant to deal with than Tameron.
I had my vehicle serviced here in 2023 and experienced more issues with higher mark-ups on services (oil changes/tire rotations) than other dealership as well as waiting 9+ hours for my car to be serviced.
Recently, I tried to sell my vehicle to Tameron after receiving a mail-in offer letter. I spoke with a sales manager and came to an agreement only to follow the same pattern with a bait and switch. I showed up and was given a much lower offer than previously discussed.
Learn from my mistakes and take your business elsewhere! There are better dealerships that will not jerk you around with these outdated business practices.

The engine icon came on in my Accord, so your service staff did a smoke test to identify the leak and sold me a new Honda gas cap. Engine light has not come back on and my car is running fine.

be nice if your wholesale parts department knew how to answer the phones everytime we need to call the line rings for longer than 5 minutes i have to wind up calling retail just to find out if something is in stock or not

I had an appointment at 11am for an OIL CHANGE only and did not end up leaving until after 3pm. Horrible communication. I had to call the service department 2 hours in to make sure they didn’t forget about me. Was told my car would be ready “5-10 minutes” and ended up waiting for over an hour. Not to mention I saw multiple people who arrived after me be assisted and serviced. Will not be coming back again, should’ve at least been offered some type of discount for the outrageous wait time.

We purchased a RAV4 a few days ago. The dealership itself was comfortable inside but the wait times make you feel forgotten (probably because you are). We were there about 4 hours. Our salesman did his absolute best to ignore my observations about how dirty the vehicle was inside. After purchasing I detailed it myself and found old food crumbs in the seats, sticky stains, floor mats that don't even fit the vehicle, and mysterious splatters on the ceiling that I mentioned specifically and they did not touch to clean. After cleaning the car myself I can confidently say they MIGHT have spent 5 minutes "cleaning" the inside. They have you sign a paper that says "if we can agree on a price and terms then we will do business" which I found very fishy. The paperwork was very rushed and things were not explained very well, just seemed like he was gunning for a paycheck. I felt the appraisal for our car and the price of the RAV4 was fair, but don't expect your new car to be clean or to be treated as a valuable customer.
UPDATE: Not a month later the vehicle is shuddering during a drive. After two phone calls during which I was transferred and received no answers regarding my warranty, I will be taking the vehicle to Hoover Toyota because they will work with our warranty company and got me set up for service and answered all my questions in one phone call.
