I have talked to a lot of different people at Spire. They have been kind, caring and courteous. They are doing their job. Try to treat them like you want to be treated . It works for me.

Their customer service managers are more concerned about agents call time not being over 6 minutes long than they are about customers. Preferably no follow up, take the call, spout the company propaganda and get off the phone. This is not customer service.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Tried to start service with spire, and the only appointment available to choose was a time frame from 8am-8pm. Considering I can’t be on house arrest for 12 hours, I briefly left the house to run an errand. I get a call saying a technician is on the way and I rush home, taking 15 minutes to get home. When I get there I see a note that indicated I have missed the technician by two minutes. I see the truck turn around on my street and drive away and I try to flag them down to no avail. I called customer service and they said there is nothing they can do but schedule me an appointment four days later with another vague time frame from 12-4. Too bad this company has no competition in the Birmingham area.

My husband worked for Alagasco for 30 years and Spire wants a deposit to reconnect at one of our houses. We have 3 Spire accounts now so wouldn’t you think they would be a little courteous and waive one deposit to current customers with 3 active accounts now. Service has declined with Spire takeover. I’ll go all electric next house!!!

Have been trying for days to contact someone about establishing service at my new apartment. No one answers when you call and their callback service is simply another automated program that puts you on hold for another 30 minutes telling you that you can receive another callback... From the same automated program.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced.They rescheduled my appointment three times. Without telling me.I had to go without heat and hot water for five days.In 30 degree weather.
