BE AWARE and EDUCATE YOURSELFAlthough the staff is very kind and professional, I didn’t get the required service I was hoping for. I went for my due 40K service after taking off from my work schedule and driving all the way to the shop, was given my vehicle back and was good to go. I went home, for some unknown reason, I opened the hood and realized that the coolant was almost empty (even lower than the lower limit line). I freaked out, called the service dept and had to drive all the way back, they were able to take care of it. Also, no one asked me to get the due filter change and I found out from my brother who lectured me for not knowing but I think it was the shop responsibility to discuss and notify me for necessary services. I am happy that they were able to fix it next day but still caused quite a bit of inconvenience to me. Just a word of caution, don’t just trust blindly, we are all humans and can make mistakes.

I purchased a new car here about 4 weeks ago. I have been unable to title or register the car because I don't have the needed paperwork and cannot get in touch with anyone at Serra. I've left multiple voicemails and made multiple calls, spending hours of personal time, with no luck. I have gone to my local title/tag office who is also baffled by Serra's lack of response and assure me my only option is to work with them. I live 2.5 hours from the dealership and it seems my only option is to drive the 5 hours round trip to confront the issue in person. Despite spending significant money there, I have gotten terrible customer service since I committed to the car. I do not recommend this business.

I have been servicing here for the last 7 years and have seen tremendous effort being made by all staff to continue to elevate the customer experience. From offering complimentary breakfast, massages (you read that right), to adding extra staff to simply greet you and keep things running smoothly --- they are continuing to raise the bar! They've even changed their set-up to no longer just have a cashier who knows nothing about my service needs, to having the actual service managers and advisors help with ALL parts of the service experience. I'll never go anywhere else to have our vehicles serviced. THANK YOU to Serra Toyota for approaching this often painful experience/chore so differently to better suit your customers' needs.

Rip off in automotive repair shop.Tried selling me a rebuilt transmission for $5700 with a lame 1 year warranty.I dropped 6 qts of trans fluid and replaced with new oil.Problem fixed.Huge scam to generate revenue at customers expense.I wont be back and tell everyone I know about them!

I bought my car from the Serra Toyota dealership in February. They owed me a spare key and a leather seat install per my contract. I did not get these fulfilled until last week (so 3 months later), and I had to constantly call and text my sales person (Montrel King). Montrel started brushing me off and ignoring my phone calls. I had to go to the dealership in person (I live out of state), and ask upper management to intervene. I also had issues with my warranties that I bought during the financing process of buying the car. I was told that the extended maintenance warranty I was sold would work at any Toyota dealership in the U.S. and that it was their version of "ToyotaCare". I was very upset and blindsided when I tried to use the warranty at a Toyota dealership in Tennessee (my home state), and could not. Not only could I not use it there, but they could not find the warranty in the Toyota database at all. Additionally, I was directed to a different Serra dealership (Serra Chevrolet) and advised that my warranty may work there. It did not work there either. I promptly began the process of cancelling all 3 warranties since I learned that they were greatly overpriced, and I could get the same warranty through the credit union financing my car for thousands less. The dishonesty, misrepresentation, and poor customer service were very disappointing and unprofessional. I do not recommend anyone utilize Serra Toyota Services.

Devin Davis was a wonderful car sales represenetive! He helped during business hours and after just to make sure I had everything I needed and more! Definitely go to Serra Toyota in Birmingham! Ask for Devin!

I've preordered some parts from Serra Toyota Centerpoint service store. After 3 1/2 weeks I asked for a refund. It turned out that the parts came in and was placed on another's car.The service manager John Dobbs, called parts and service to put them back on my invoice so that he could refund me. On Black Friday,I was promised a check via mail in 3-5 business days. I spoke with a manager named Brian, Who promised to look into it . It's been another 3 weeks, still no check. When I phone the establishment today, I seem to get the run around. This is terrible customer service

Came here by default since I couldn't get an appt at Lexus. I had required maintenance needed before I was heading out of town. I scheduled an appt on a Saturday around noonish. Scheduling by phone was easy and service was professional with the lady I spoke with. When I arrived, greeted by a guy giving me his business card. I get it but I told him that I wasn't there looking to purchase a new car. Just to get my current vehicle serviced. Pulled in the bay and went inside the reception area. It was kind of a zoo! I had arrived a lunchtime. Big mistake! It was very crowded and chaotic to say the least. A lot going on and people everywhere! Shawn , the gentleman who stopped eating to help me was cool and helpful. Gave me an overview of what my vehicle needed. All I really wanted / needed was an oil change. No problem... he was just doing his job. And of course looking to make more money for their dealership. Cool. I didn't get all he recommended but I appreciate the service provided as well as the money I was able to save thanks to Shawn. It didn't take long for my service to be completed. Took longer for them to take my car back to be serviced. This actually alarmed me because I was thinking they just did a rush job. My car is driving ok after coming here. Something does feel a little off. Maybe it's just me. Overall, coming here met my needs at the time. I don't know if I will return but it's good to have an alternative if ever needed in the future.

We had the worst experience at this dealership. I found a car online and called to see if it was on the lot. We were told yes and to come on down. We get there and find out it's at their sister store across town. Long story short the car had been sent to Decatur. Nobody seemed to care. I understand mistakes happen but we felt like we were inconveniencing them. We just got a really bad vibe from here. It seemed like no one was interested in helping us. My husband did stick around to crunch numbers but everything took way too long. Our car was supposed to be appraised while they looked for the other car but it didn't happen. After 2.5 hours we had had enough and left.
