Left a good review before I actually worked here. I shouldn't have. This was THE worst job I've ever had in my life. I would run into oncoming traffic and become permanently disabled before I went to work there again. You've read the reviews. Yes. Its that horrible.

Satellites Unlimited will put on a good front. First impression is great but in the end you better believe they get the last laugh. I thought I had a good thing going with this company. I was asked to relocate to Baton Rouge from Gulfport,Ms after a transfer by April 9th in January. I put good effort in the home search, etc. Come to find out the cost of living is extremely higher than Gulfport,Ms where I currently live. I decided it was not the best move for my family so I did the right thing. Instead of riding it out until April 9th, I let upper management know as soon as I came to my decision and why around 3/1 thinking it was the right thing to do. Of course I could have ridden it out if I known they would have fired me... I didn’t. But let’s get back on track. After I let them know I requested to drop down and become a technician which is a position lower than my manager position and it was denied. I was terminated from non disipline actions. They was even hiring and looking for technicians in Gulfports office and I would require 0 training and would have saved thousands on training. Keep in mind the main reason it was not the best move was yes cost of living, but also my new born son has a couple medical issues going on at they were fully aware of. I was also known for getting my job done without question and never been written up. I must have offened someone when I did not move to the great city of Baton Rouge, La. Loosing a job can be a burden for some and it was me. I wish the company would have given me notice being I was considered a great employee.

My husband used to work for them. Everyday he came home feeling bad. They Have to sell an average of 20 dollars worth of overpriced and cheaply made merchandise to every customer. The only way they make a liveable wage is if they rush the jobs on your house. He would cancel jobs just because they would take too long for it to be able to make financial sense. He was very capable of great work and did his best to make sure the customers were getting what they paid for. His van would get an annual audit and they would always say something’s missing, I know quite a few of their former employees, but my husband was very organized and always knew how much of what he had and where it was. The system they use wouldn’t take sold items from his inventory and he would often be charged... this left him having to get more jobs done to make up for it and at an even faster pace. This company doesn’t create an environment for their employees to serve you, the techs are treated only as a money farm. He quit, and I’m proud of him for it. Dish is a great service!!!! Please hire private retailers and stay away from satellites unlimited. This company treats the vast majority of its employees terribly. They have a “dog and pony show” style reward system, here less than 1% of their favored technicians receive massive bonuses and are used as examples when recruiting. 99% of their employees are trapped in a position that may often leave them with no choice but to choose between shotty fast work or a hungry family.
