In heaven here as a bibliophile..was stoked to see a legit literary independent bookstore akin to what I'd find in a big city even. Best to not go there with a plan and instead see what speaks to you, though the proprietor is every bit as friendly and helpful as you could want. Prices fair. Metered parking on street.

Always a pleasure going to Jim Reeds Books, can always find something unique and interesting, as well as seeing some great memorabilia. Jim is a great person and knows a lot of history. Make sure to stop in when in Birmingham!

Fun place to come browse shelves and stacks of old books. Owner is great. If you are into old bookstores like this, then I recommend you set some time aside to really explore this place the first time you go. There are a lot of treasures to uncover here.

Overwhelming but so so very cool. All kinds of treasures if you've got the time to look. The owner seems very friendly and nice though I didn't talk with him myself.

Visited this loca bookstore for the first time. The books are delicious. If you like chapters cooked well done, this is the place. Will be going back to have more books. 10/10 recommend.

The real deal. This place is what used bookstores should be. Organized but not. Books all over the place. An owner who loves what he does and can talk just about any topic/subject you are looking for. Treasures buried and waiting to be found. The smell of old books just waiting for the right person to sniff them out… oh and the prices are very reasonable. I can only give 5 stars which is disappointing ?.
