The only reason I'm giving two stars and not one is because they thankfully completed my cats spay surgery successfully without killing her on the operating table. The lady working at the front desk/ answering the phones is absolutely rude and highly unprofessional. She will give you NO information that is needed even before/ after a major surgery, she just assumes that you know everything I guess. So be prepared to ask ALOT of questions if you want to get any information out of her at all, and expect a bad attitude when you do.This lady didn't tell me anything that I needed to know ahead of time prior to my cats surgery, which I scheduled over the phone. I also sat on the phone for 45 minutes waiting for her to pick back up when I was trying to schedule it before she hung up, called back she acted like she didnt know what I was referring to.She told me my cat needed to stay overnight. She didnt tell me what time I could pick her up - I assumed 9 AM would be fine since 7-9 was the time frame for drop off. I get there at 9 and she tries to tell me Im "too early" and almost tried to not let me pick her up. If 9 is too early why would you not inform your customers about this type of thing ahead of time? She also gave me NO information about what to do after her surgery for post-care. Didnt send her home with an ecollar, no pain meds, no instructions on caring for her sutured wound. Not a single word about anything. She didnt even give me my medical records for the cat that I dropped off the day before, I ended up having to drive all the way back up there again just to get my old medical records. And to boot now my cats incision site has begun to get infected. Im not taking her or any of my other pets back to red mountain I know that much for sure.A word to the veterinarians here, fire this lady. She's awful, unprofessional and rude and clearly sucks at her job. Bad experience with this place, wouldnt recommend it

*Unprofessional, Rude Staff, Waste of time and money*I took my sister’s dog to this clinic in August. They didn’t really address any of the concerns I had, and gave me basic answers I’d already found on Google. Despite this, they charged me $300. My sister takes her dog back today, at 2, and there was no doctor in the building until 4. Once they took her dog back, they said that there was still an outstanding balance of $300 from the previous visit. My sister called me and verified I had paid it, but they refused to do anything for the dog until she paid. After plenty of time passed they finally found the invoice that showed I had indeed paid. This was after they got snappy and rude with my sister for refusing to pay. Take your pets anywhere else. Thankfully my sister refused the double charge!

I tried contacting the clinic to resolve an issue with some procedures performed on my dogs and nobody ever got back with me or took ownership/accountability for the poor procedural processes. I had to pay a different provider to correct something that I contacted the clinic for help with in the beginning. Once they received my money, I guess that’s all that mattered.

My two dogs love coming here and I know they are well taken care of. They keep everything affordable and do not do unnecessary tests for money.

They were lovely but kind of expensive. It's worth it though. They listened and seemed good with my Persian cat and shih tzu. They also groom dogs and cats.

I located this veterinary office years ago and found it to be the BEST. The staff is AWESOME & Doc. Williams is extremely knowledgeable and is able to tell me what was needed to my level. I've found that his staff has been well trained to answer questions when Doc. Williams isn't in. My dog's/ cat will never be seen by another veterinary. The 2 hr drive one-way is well worth the trip!!

We have been taking our fur babies to Dr. Jerome Williams at Red Mountain Animal Clinic for 18 years. There aren't words to express how wonderful and caring he and his staff are. We have a 17 year old cat and 14 year old dog who have thrived with their insight and care. In fact one of my good friends was in a panic with her Bernese mountain dog who suddenly wasn't able to stand on her own. Her vet suggested sending her dog to Auburn for expensive exploratory surgery. I contacted Red Mountain and they made time for her to bring her sweet pup in. Dr. Williams looked her over and said it's just arthritis, they treated her and she was fine within a few hours. My friend was over joyed and deeply grateful. If you are looking for a brilliant vet who cares look no further.

I have gone to this vet for years and I am shocked at the utterly rude desk staff. I was completely ignored in my request to have my pet vaccinated and nails trimmed. They charged me extra fees while my pet was in the back without first informing me or giving me an option. They should reprimand or fire the older desk worker who repeatedly ignored my requests and questions. She also misspelled and mispronounced my pets name after being corrected countless times over the years. They were a good shop at one point in time but that is no longer the case

My 3 doggies got their first ever dental cleaning done here and I had a great experience! I’m actually from out of state so taking my dogs to a new vet where they would have to go under anesthesia made me incredibly nervous. But RMAC did such a good job! Their teeth look BEAUTIFUL and their stinky breath is COMPLETELY GONE (and they’re 6-7 year old chihuahua mix breeds that had never had a professional teeth cleaning so they had some stinky breath)! Absolutely worth the money. I had requested they call me with an estimate of what the bill would be prior to starting care and was promptly called with a price breakdown. They accept care credit and offer a 10% multi pet discount for their services. Their dental cleaning package also came with a teeth cleaning solution that you add to their water to keep their oral health in tip top shape(: they also trimmed my pets’ nails (which I was going to ask them to do but completely forgot to), so that was a WONDERFUL surprise.

We have been taking our pet to Red Mountain Animal Clinic (RMAC) since she was born almost 12 years ago. Dr. Jerome B. Williams is highly-regarded in the field of Veterinary Medicine and he, along with his staff provide great customer service in taking care of your pet on a daily basis. The Team at RMAC always make themselves available to answer any questions you may have about your pet and pride themselves on making sure that their needs are being handled with integrity, honesty and in a professional manner. We can tell our German Shepherd loves seeing the staff as well as going to day-boarding at the Clinic and have a great sense of comfort knowing that we can trust a facility where she is loved and very well taken care of. I truly recommend Red Mountain Animal Clinic to all of my family friends and colleagues.L. Cooper

Went in and the lady at the counter glanced my way and continued to sit with her head down and didn’t greet me. I had to pry information out of her because she continued to sit there silently without looking at me until I spoke first. She made eye contact with me all of once the entire time we spoke and she genuinely seemed uninterested in helping me. Ended up taking my kitty to the Homewood Clinic a few minutes away, where the staff is much friendlier eager to help.

My baby 6 month old kitty goes in with some blockage in his digestive track. in and out of the vet for a week and a half and no one does anything despite me telling them he hasn’t been eating. Cats can’t go over 2 days without food. He went a week and a half. Developed hepatic lipidosis because of this. So now poor baby is struggling with an Intestinal obstruction and a liver disease. Still no surgery because they were too busy trying to clock out on time. No one there knew what to do and my biggest mistake was not taking him out of there immediately to see another vet. I trusted them with my baby and that was the worst decision of my life. A simple surgery would have saved my baby’s life. He was the most perfect cat.

Recently started bringing our 1 year old pup here for boarding and any other issues we run into. We have had a great experience all the way around. Front desk staff is always helpful and on the few occasions we have needed to see a doctor, they have been great! Definitely recommend.
