Mr. Pyle was such a friendly and cordial gentleman to me. He was so knowledgeable and informative on clocks and so willingly to explain everything about my clock. He told me things about it that I would never have known. That meant so much to me. I certainly do highly recommend him to everyone needing clock work. You will be very happy you chose him. His charge was much LESS than I had anticipated .

Followed up a couple of times with some questions, after being assured of a response. Maybe I wasn't a viable financial prospect? I don't know. Probably just busy. He didn't have to offer an explanation and not respond to multiple reminders, even if to tell me thanks but no thanks

I had 4 clocks in various stages of disrepair. I called and spoke to Mr. Pyle who was very nice, patient and knowledgeable. I took them in and he gave me an estimate on each. We picked them up and the final price was less than his estimate! Does that ever happen?!? It is evident he loves his work and customers. He went over each clock with us and explained the repairs and how to keep them running smoothly (2 are over 100 years old). I would highly recommend and will definitely return!

My wife and I received a mantle clock for our wedding whose chime has reverberated throughout our home since day one of our marriage. Imagine our horror when, after a cross country move to an unfamiliar city, we pulled the clock out of its heavily padded box to find that this priceless reminder of many years of wedded bliss was broken. Attempts at a DIY repair went for naught as I lacked the expertise and tools needed to make the fix. So, I did what any good adulting millennial would do: I went to YELP! to find a clock repair shop. I discovered that Pyle's sits near a well reviewed pizza shop in Avondale. I figured taking a chance on an unknown clock shop might not result in a fixed clock, but it could bring delight to my tummy in the form of a detour to excellent pizza. I drove down to Avondale after work one day and eventually found myself at Pyle's. As I opened the door, I was greeted with floor to ceiling timepieces, each in a varied state of operation. The gentlemen who took care of my clock asked a few questions and immediately got to work on figuring out what was wrong with my gifted clock. Fast-forward 24 hours and less than $15 later and my clock was ready for pick-up fully functional and back to its former glory! While this shop might lack the glitz and glamour of a modern shopping center store front, this guy knows what he is doing. Go here for great service and fair pricing. Oh, and grab a slice of from Post Office Pies while in the area!

Can most highly recommend. Very knowledgeable (does work for antique auction houses). Busy, don't necessarily expect clock to be back the next day as he generally has a back log for repairs. But when you get it back it will be fixed right. Call ahead to make sure he is there as he does make houses calls to repair Grandfather clocks and some times it does take more time than previously thought. I have had clocks repaired in Atlanta and Huntsville and I go to Birmingham (Pyle's)

Knowledgeable and helpful staff, does excellent repair work, good selection of clocks for sale, conveniently located, makes house calls, but parking can be an issue late in the day.

Call before you drop by. No one is there sometimes and they can't really tell you what time they will be there because service calls can take longer than expected sometimes. They are behind so you will not get your repair or service completed for a few months
