Zero stars if I could. I wrongfully assumed that a small, family-owned business would be a reputably-run resource for necessary medical equipment. Both of my parents require CPAPs and received excellent customer service and care, but at the expense of their wallets. Turns out the owner is just marking up masks you could buy on Amazon at cost. And they're not covered by insurance! I would recommend going anywhere that isn't here.

**Beware** Do not conduct business with this 280 location. It’s sad that at a critical time in your life such as temporarily needing oxygen has been the most difficult and unprofessional experience. At the end of July I was discharged from Grandview Medical Center and they failed to discharge me on oxygen when my oxygen levels were low. The day after discharge I called the hospital and they referred me to this 280 location. I spoke with a woman named Amy and explained to her what happened. She took my insurance information and told me when I would be billed. She also scheduled for someone to come that evening with the oxygen compressor. When the man came he brought one oxygen compressor, an emergency tank and 2 small portable. The middle of August I had a doctors appointment and while driving I ran out of oxygen from my portable tank. I called this 280 location and told them it was an emergency. I told them I was coming to the store because I ran out of oxygen. Amy called me while I was almost there stating I had a $53 balance on the account and that she would not allow me to get oxygen until I paid it in full. Mind you they had been billing my insurance and there was no need to threaten my life of receiving oxygen over $53. Most importantly I had already paid the balance and owed them nothing. When I finally made it to the store I was gasping for air and extremely light headed barely driving my car. It was 30 minutes before I had oxygen and I could have had respiratory failure due to Amy and the staff on 280. On November 7, 2023 I called OxyMed on 280 and spoke with Chris. I explained to Chris that I no longer need oxygen and needed to schedule for someone to come pick up their equipment. Chris started giving me the run around saying I need the doctor to discharge me before they can pick up the equipment. I explained the doctor was from a ER visit 4 months prior from Grandview Medical Center. Chris stated the doctor name was Dr. Hull. I explained to him the doctor discharged me in July and that he did not discharge me on oxygen. I explained that I had to call the next day. Chris said he would have someone call me to come pick up the equipment and they would no longer bill my insurance. On November 30, 2023 OxyMed 280 billed my insurance $340 for equipment I haven’t used in 2 months. I called and spoke with Amy on Monday, December 4, 2023. Amy stated the guy would be in my area Thursday, December 7, 2023 to pick up the equipment from my home. At approximately 9am on December 7, 2023 Amy called me stating they would not be coming out because Dr. Hull needed to discharge me. I told Amy that she was the one I spoke with when I first got the equipment and that she clearly understood what happened. I told her I recently visited my primary doctor and I do not need the oxygen. Amy then stated the guy would be in my area the next day, Friday, December 8, 2023 to pick up the equipment from my home. No one called me or came to my home. I still have all the equipment and they are running a scam refusing to pick up the equipment so they can continue to bill my insurance. I will have to get the police involved so I can return this equipment and stop being billed. This is fraud. Do not conduct business with OxyMed.

Can’t say enough about how wonderful this place help deliver outstanding customer service from A to Z. From initially contacting them on the phone to receiving equipment/supplies, I was treated with kindness and humility. Jamin is an absolute professional and goes the extra mile. Her knowledge of procedures and handling insurance companies is to be admired. She really got the ball rolling and took initiative to take care of me. Whitney was very professional as well. She explained details and processes for the equipment. She took time and didn’t assume that I should know xyz. She was very informative and knowledgeable. OxyMed, you need to hold onto these two; Jamin and Whitney. Huge assets to your office. Thank you ??

I have to give a Shout Out to Ashley and Zach. They were both so much help. I was able to take several different masks home and try them for a week. Their patience was much appreciated. After a hassle free month of testing I settled on the products I needed. Once again they were both amazing to work with.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This past holiday, our machine broke. They told us they did not want to send someone out to pay holiday pay, to go to the fire station or hospital!! We have a critical care person so we spent to holiday in the hospital just for oxygen!

This place has the most terrible customer service I have ever experienced. They tried to tell me one thing & I caught them. So they tried to change it. Don’t ever buy a cpap from this company. Stay far away! If I could give less than 1 star I would.

I live in Gadsden and there are 0 C-Pap machines at any DME around. I called and spoke with Madeline and she was amazing! Not only did she explain my sleep study results better than the pulmonologist, she had a machine waiting on me when I got there. Thank you so much Madeline!

Staff is lacking in customer service and is honestly rude for no reason. It's almost like they get joy out of the ugliness that comes from their mouth. Give your hard earned money to someone else.

IF YOU WANT A CONSIDERATE STAFF & CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN THERES’S a PROBLEM, GO SOMEWHERE ELSERecently purchased a small travel c-pap to replace my pre-recall c-pap that was 20 +/- years old. I also purchased a new wisp mask. I continued to used my old mask with the new machine on two international trips. I waited to use my “new mask” once I’d returned from overseas. I went to install the new wisp mask on the new machine last night, and the bag contained a mask with a connected small nose pad and two large nose pads. When I attempted to change out the nose pads on the new mask the pads didn’t fit due to a different opening size. Very odd to have a mask with two different style pads in the bag. I returned to the store with the bag, explained the problem, and was told by the associate that they had not had that style mask in stock for 2+ years and there was no way I purchased it from them. We reviewed my purchase on their system confirming the purchase but the associate insisted that it did not come from them. As it’s the only new mask in my house, there’s no question it came from them. I asked for a suggested resolution, and was told I’d have to purchase another mask as it was not their problem. An $85 mask is not the issue. I went to a nearby competitor and bought another mask. The way I was treated by the staff and their absolute lack of assuming any responsibility in their error is the issue and it was infuriating. I’ve purchased replacement masks from this store in the past due to convenience, and the personnel always seemed somewhat self absorbed and slimy to me…indifferent to my needs, chatting with each other, and more concerned that I pay them their asking price for the equipment instead of applying to a deductible in insurance (so I suspect there’s commission involved relative to a insurance purchase or outright purchase). There are lots of places to buy machines and supplies, and I recommend you go somewhere other than this retailer.

It took over a month to get my supplies for my CPAP machine. I had the doctor to fax the information and they kept passing the buck. This is ridiculous.

I would not use OxyMed CPAP. Went into the store and got the impression that they did not want to deal with me because I was paying cash and did not have a prescription or billing to insurance. Finally I convinced someone to deal with me and they sold me a Somnetics Transcend3 which quit working the first night I tried to use it and still does not work.--absolute ripoff.
