βWorking with Artic Ice has been such a pleasure! Highly recommend to all businesses in need of ice for anything! As a new business owner in the world of Shaved Ice, I was having difficulty finding the Ice blocks needed for my machine. The owner of Artic Ice, Mr. Patrick, had a limited supply of what I needed. Instead of directing me to someone else he started making what I needed. He also advised me on the Shaved Ice business and has helped me so much with useful information on the ins and outs of the business! He has such a wonderful and personable demeanor! Makes me feel welcome everytime I meet with him or call for an order!β

For years, Iβve frequented this spot for unique wines, strange and out of this world spirits, and tailored service.
The second you walk in, youβll notice the charm and feel to this spot.
It isnβt about quantity here. You wonβt find garbage, either. This is the spot for unique items, limited editions, and stuff you wonβt find anywhere else in birmingham.
She even does occasional tastings, AND she usually has some incredible deals going on as well as very low price options for when youβre in a pinch.
Of all the spirits stores in the metro, this one is by far the most unique.β
βWe go here regularly to refill our liquor stash, but we recently visited to get some moving boxes. This is a GREAT place to go. The guy working there helped us out with plenty of free boxes to fit our needs! Itβs a 2 for 1 stop!β
βAbsolutely THE premier place to get your wine in Birmingham and surrounding areas! I have never had an experience like this while searching for wine. The attention I received was impressive as well as their knowledge of the products. I enter unsure of what I needed, I had an idea. With just a few questions they had exactly what I needed. As soon as I opened the bottle I knew they hadnβt steered me wrong! The wine was exceptional and exactly what I had envisioned. Thank you for being such a blessing! I recommend the Vintage Wine Shoppe without hesitation!β

She helped me choose wine for my friendβs birthdays and gifts for Christmas. She has a variety of products to fit all occasions. My friends LOVED her choices. It was a great experience. βStaff was very friendly, and there was a large variety of interesting items from food to furniture to home goods. We ended up with quite a few things and enjoyed our experience looking around overall. Very well organized and stocked as well.β

βTypical ABC Store, I will say that the Staff are friendly and courteous, willing to help if You need it. I don't use alcohol very often, sometimes for medical purposes. The ABC Stores don't carry a selection of Fine Wines, if that's what you're looking for, You'll have to go elsewhere.β
βFantastic. Not only great quality meat, but their premade meals are reasonably priced and delicious. Check out their βfreezer packingβ bundles, maybe the best deal in town. Their wine section is extensive and well priced, the bottles I recognized were cheaper than I usually find. I end up going to more than 1 grocery store looking for deals anyways, and this spot is a stealβ

βFor those that don't know, Alabama is a controlled state, meaning that all spirits have to be purchased from the state. In AL, they have to pay RETAIL price. The price you see on an item at an ABC store is what the business pays. IF they buy a case, they get a 14% case discount. Which ain't crap, because Bama is the 5th highest taxed state on booze. It's standard practice for an individual package store to mark their spirits up by around 40- 50%, because otherwise they wouldn't be able to exist as a business. The guys at Altadena Spirits are kind, fair, and helpful. Their selection is good, and you can even find some bourbon gems there sometimes. They have a great chilled wine and beer selection. It's quiet and chill, and I always find something tasty to drink.β

βOnly place I go because of the great selections! Employees are always friendly and reliable for a good chuckle. They even helped me pick out the perfect cigar for my hunny!β

βIt's a state store, so the prices are Tha same as any ABC store. The staff here are a little hands-off compared to Crestwood or Mountain Brook, and will only help if asked nicely. At least this is my experience. The selection is basic but OK. The store itself is pretty ratty, but they keep it reasonably clean. Not my favorite ABC store, but I'll go there if it's closest.β
βThey always have my cough medicines. Ameretta & Carolinas Irish Cream. Nursing chronic bronchitis is impossible without it. And their is no doctors office copay.β
βI can honestly say I am part of the crew that's been helping the restoration process. But, I can promise you all this. As soon as your up an running you will be my go to liquor store.The owner and family are extremely nice and patient.β

I was assisted by a young man I believe he name was Luke,he was very helpful in showing me a item I was trying to locate,it's difficult these days to find good help and good workers and this gentleman was a credit to his profession! The store would benefit from having more employees like Mr. luke!β
βABC's always have friendly staff, and this is no exception. Best prices in the city, though the selection at this location is smaller than the Pelham location. They still probably have what you need.β

βLove this place. Miss their old spot on Highland, but since I work downtown it's easy to just stop by on the way home. There's plenty of parking on the street. It's just as friendly and well stocked as when it was on highland.β

βWith over 40 brews on tap, it's pretty easy to find one to try. They have multiple stouts and porters on tap and that pleases me.
It is laid back in the afternoon with staff joking around but that did not affect service.β
