Where do I begin? I am from Florida and I’m here in Alabama working. I had the day off and I was already going to be in the area for groceries so I decided to stop by and get my oil changed and tires rotated.I was told by the service advisor it would be about an hour and a half. Okay fine, I proceed to the waiting area. 2 HOURS LATER I'm told my car is ready so I gather my things and walk out to pay.The service advisor apologizes for the DELAY BUT THEN INFORMS ME THAT THE SERVICE “TECHNICIAN” SOMEHOW ALLOWED THE OIL GUN TO COME OUT OF THE FILL HOLE IN THE ENGINE AND SQUIRT OIL ALL OVER MY ENGINE BLOCK, EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND SKID PLATE!!!!!!! This turned my 1.5-hour service appointment into a 3-HOUR EXERCISE OF MY PATIENCE.Oh yeah!! They attempted to rinse the oil off my engine and exhaust with water?!?!?!?!YOU CANNOT MAKE THIS STUFF UP!!!I travel all over the country for work, I've lived in 15 States and have had my vehicle serviced in most of them.NEVER HAVE I EVER DRIVEN HOME AFTER A SERVICE APPOINTMENT WITH ALL MY WINDOWS DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE OF THE SMELL OF MOTOR OIL THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE INSIDE THE MOTOR WAS BURNING OFF THE OUTSIDE OF MY ENGINE. I JUST KNEW MY ENGINE WAS GOING TO BURAT INTO FLAMES ON MY DRIVE BACK TO TUSCALOOSA.I have had this vehicle for seven years and have NEVER felt like physically assaulting the person who changed my oil?!?!The “technician” also left my tires under-inflated so I had to drive to the nearest vast station and pay to put air in my tires because my tire pressure light was on after the DAMAGE, I mean “service” they did to my car.It's been 48 hours or so since these people disrespected me and my vehicle and my there is still a heavy smell of burning oilInside my car and an embarrassing trail of smoke behind my vehicle when I'm driving down the road.Last, but certainly not least, my car had greasy smudges all over the hood, and door handles and they left the plastic on the seat and rf the paper floor mat in the car that they use to keep the car clean?!?!I HAVE NEVER FELT MORE DISRESPECTED OR UNCARED FOR AT A BUSINESS. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. You have been warned!!!!

My daughter and I were traveling from South Carolina to Louisiana and experienced major car problems. We called Jim Burke Subaru, told them what was going on and that we were traveling and on a schedule. They were waiting for us when we arrived, quickly diagnosed the problem, put two mechanics to work on it and got us back on the road within two hours. I very much appreciated their quick, friendly, and professional service. I highly recommend them.

From the moment I arrived for my car service to the time that I left, I was treated with friendliness and professionalism! My car was ready in a little over an hour, and I was able to get some computer office work done while I waited. The waiting room was stocked with complimentary coffee pod options and bottled water. This was the most pleasant experience I’ve ever had in a car service appt! Thank you for exceptional service and customer hospitality!!

I was really intimidated since this represents a lot of money for me. My sales rep, James, was very easy to work with and listened to my concerns. I also got much better financing rates from the dealership than from my bank I have been with since 1995. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I really would do business with them again in a heartbeat.

Brent (service manager) and the rest of the staff here were all polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Brent even followed up with pricing on future maintenance to keep me informed and my Subaru maintained per schedule. Pricing was fair and my service took a reasonable amount of time. Thank you.

We had a great experience at Jim Burke Subaru! James was our salesperson and he was excellent!! Another dealership told me they could not get me a red crosstrek Wilderness but James made a couple of calls and had on in a week! We enjoyed getting to know James too!

After bringing in my 2018 Legacy for 90000 service and explaining to the sales rep that my key fobs was not working correctly and I was instructed to bring them both back to get them fixed. They both worked. The memory in the car was messed up the first thing, the representative asked me Was what quote did they give me I said to him no quote was given. This was a free service because all they had to do was reset the memory in the car. The next thing he tells me is that it’s gonna cost me $400 for the service I explained to him I didn’t have the $400. I mainly came down for the oil change, and I wanted to do that, he immediately caught an attitude and told me that if I didn’t get it, I would void my free oil changes for life and he had a form on his tablet for me to sign which would have done just that voided my free oil change for life. And I almost signed it. I then wanted to speak to the manager and he said everything was fine. The representative did nothing wrong. This is unacceptable and unbelievable. I’m waiting for someone to get in contact with me now I left a message. I will let you know how this works out, why should I be penalized because I don’t have the money to pay right then

After having purchased both my car and my tires at Jim Burke, I find it insulting that they told me that their new policy was that they could not give me a ride to my place of work, since I was only bringing my car in for a complementary services that I receive due to those purchases. When I said it would’ve been nice to know that before scheduling my services, I appreciated that they did indeed give me a ride, but I have to say that this policy is bad form. When I sell my car and purchase the next, I will be choosing another Subaru dealer. That is no way to treat a loyal customer who has at this point spent $20,000 at Jim Burke.The oil change and tire rotation was fine.

After almost 2 years of being a one car household, it was time for my wife and I to add a second, more reliable, car. As we get ready to start a family, we immediately knew safety was one of our main concerns in a new vehicle. This lead us to narrow our selection to Subaru, along with a few other manufacturers.We first visited Jim Burke Subaru, considering mainly the Ascent, through not sure how much this would cost. Our original sales rep was full of information and very helpful. It became obvious that the Ascent was outside of our desired price range, and from that point forward, he had no problem showing us more affordable options - without putting any pressure on us to "make it work" for the Ascent.After test-driving, and visiting on a couple of other occasions to help narrow our choices down, we finally decided on the Subaru Outback (Onyx Edition). Had he not showed us an Onyx Edition, I don't know that we would have considered it, but after talking about our dog and future children, he understood that the Startex Leather seats would be a better fit for us, along with many other features in the Onyx Edition.From there, we scheduled a time to order our vehicle. When we made this call, it turned out that our original sales rep no longer worked with Jim Burke Subaru. We were quickly and easily directed to another sales rep (James). James sat down with us as we built out our desired vehicle. He quickly found an option for us to dealer trade, though we ultimately opted to order. James kept us up to date on where our car was in production and transit. He initially informed us that the car would arrive one day, and it actually arrived 3 days early!My wife and I went to Jim Burke to purchase and pick up our keys. not only did we do that, but James gave us a very thorough walk through of every feature of our car - even showing us some things we did not even know came as part of our car.Ultimately, we had an amazing experience purchasing from James and Jim Burke Subaru. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking at Subaru to visit Jim Burke. And if you aren't considering a Subaru, I would highly recommend. The folks at Jim Burke Subaru can answer any question you have about Subaru.When we outgrow our Outback, we will be back at Jim Burke Subaru, ready to get the Ascent!Thanks, Jim Burke Subaru!

We bought our Ascent from Jim Burke Subaru a couple months ago. First off I want to say how informative and kind our sales person was. James Claborn is the person who helped us and we did not feel like we were pressured at ALL. Like many people we really hate buying a car- the stress and anxiety of spending so much on top of all the choices and the pressure from the sales people- it’s horrible. We shopped around a bit but immediately just appreciated the way he spoke to us and answered our questions regarding not only Subaru but other makes we were considering that he has had personal experience with. Ultimately we ended up with our Ascent which we love. The dealership was efficient and quick to do our loan paperwork and James himself even made sure our car was detailed to perfection. I did have a question recently regarding the car and called and got quick response from him that put my mind at ease. We have had zero issues with the car or the process and will almost certainly go back when it is time to trade in our other vehicle. 10 out of 10 check out Jim Burke Subaru and ask for James Claborn to help guide you in your purchase.

They are always very courteous and service is fast. I use their service dept for my Subaru, and I will use them as long as I own the vehicle. I highly recommend them. Oil changes are free. They’re the best!

We have been taking both our Subarus to Jim Burke since we bought an outback in 2020. We bought it understanding we would get free oil changes as long as we maintained the car according to the maintenance schedule. We have done just that. Yet, today I was charged for an oil change, and they would not explain adequately why this was the case given our history of bringing the vehicle in for the maintenance schedule. I also waited about 4 hours for a simple oil change.

We hit a deer about 3 years ago and had the repairs performed here. A few weeks ago I noticed the clear coat started to peel so I called up the body shop to see if there was a warranty. We drove down and had it checked out and it was determined the clear coat was failing and that a warranty paint job would be approved. Mark handled everything and even did a few touch up spots. The service was great and the office staff is nice too. I would definitely recommend the body shop for repairs.
