The people in front desk were very, very kind housekeepers. Extremely pleasant room was very clean and I love the access to restaurants. Extremely recommended.

My go-to place to stay when in Birmingham. It's in the hood, but that makes it even better to know that IHG has not abandoned the community. The front desk staff is really nice at all times

Lakita was amazing during my stay but the hallways have a very unpleasant oder and the bathroom toliets and sinks really struggle to flush and drain.
Rooms: Rooms need a much needed remodel.

Rooms: My particular room was nice, the floor was quiet, and for the price, the room had all of the amenities
Walkability: There is a 24-hour gas station across the street as well as a Mexican restaurant if you are comfortable with that type of food.
Food & drinks: Steel City restaurant and bar inside the hotel was amazing
Noteworthy details: The environment around the hotel doesn't appear to be the safest

They gave me room 323 the air didn’t work. Than moved me to 309 air didn’t work in there either! Don’t waste your time staying there because you will be miserable and not beable to sleep in the heat. The whole building was hot. And it’s been a problem for a while the worker even said so til she went back on her words once’s I talked with owner. She had gotten in trouble for letting us know that it’s been a problem. If I can give a 0 star I would. Place sucked! They talk to you like your nothing too very disrespectful! 131$ is way to high not to able to sleep after driving 9 hours. Don’t waste your money there.
Rooms: No air! Building is under construction! They don’t tell you. That you don’t get air

The hotel was the host hotel for our family reunion. The location was not the best however the service received was great. The front desk staff, bar service, catering and housekeeping, everyone was very nice. The rooms need to be upgraded but they were okay. The game room was a plus and great for everyone. The complimentary breakfast was appreciated as well. The banquet room was very spacious and was able to accommodate our large group. Our family was very thankful to have assistance from JOVANNA throughout our stay. She did an excellent job providing great service. She is a very hardworking young lady which allowed everything to run smoothly. Everything was prepared and set up on time. She was very attentive to our needs even though she was doing everything by herself. I recommend asking for Jovanna if you are having an event at the hotel. ? Overall the stay was good.

Bed bugs my son got all bit and so did I all over our body. Took over 30 min to get checked in when there was a long line and only 1 person working the front desk. No response from hotel management.

Under renovation.
They back the blue - sat next to a Birmingham Cop and they compd his food.
THAT, is awesome and I have a ton of respect for the owners and management for that.
And the bartenders are GREAT!!!
Food & drinks: Really good food.

Room was very noisy from the outside interstate. Bathroom shower did not drain. Also had a roof tile missing over the shower. Breakfast was good with good service.
