Don't forget, if you're a diamond member and want to save $35 by booking through a third party, you will NOT be acknowledged as a diamond member. Can't even get the permium WiFi. So in reality, I'm paying for my Kirkland water bottle, bag of Skittles, and slightly better WiFi everytime I book through the Hilton app instead of a third party. Not really sure how that counts as free benefits for Hilton honors members. Walked into the room and almost slipped as I skidded across the floor (in shoes) due to a slick/wet/greasy (who knows) floor. The next morning, bare foot, still greasy/moist/wet, very unpleasant and dangerous. Fridge wasn't cold enough. No knob on the inside to make it colder. Used a chair to keep the shades closed after I was woken up by the sunrise. Keurig machine in the room, but no kcups, just the other coffee brand that doesn't work in a Keurig machine. Called the front desk at night to get some kcups for the morning. No one came at night, and no one came in the morning. No coffee for me in my room after my shower, which was pretty low pressure for the quality of shower head. Pretty gross ac unit. When was the last time that was cleaned? At least the AC was cold. Solid bed and good pillows.

Excellent experience minus the service and wait time at the restaurant downstairs. The food was good but the service was abysmal. It took an hour to get two to-go burgers during my last stay.

We had a wonderful experience at The Lab at the Hilton Downtown at UAB, thanks to our server, Yash. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made our dining experience feel special with his positive energy and great suggestions for food and drink. What stood out even more was learning that Yash is a college student at UAB who will soon be heading out of state to pursue a PhD—such an inspiring story!
His genuine warmth and attentiveness made our evening a memorable one. We highly recommend dining here, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Yash as your server! P.S. the fries were amazing!

Lousy & shittiest of all, no service for indoor room.dining services, reception tolk ages to attend call only to say that the number is different for dining lab restaurant, who ate the worse as they didn't attend calls at all & there was no point leaving voice messages as I had tried as early as 7 for dinner & since then they had a lot of time
At some other hilton locations they still keep bottle of waters at nominal charges like $2 to 5 but here nothing at all

Room door was hitting molding to bathroom barn door. Hotel associate told me to file a claim they brought towels the little girls forgot to bring towels back to our room. No shower soap and the lotion was broken off the wall with two screws hanging out. I took a video and pictures. Kind of disappointed I think I need partially a refund

I booked this property because of the airport shuttle. On check-in, I requested a 04:30 AM shuttle, appropriate for my flight.
When I arrived in the morning, not only did they know nothing about my shuttle, I was told that the driver wasn't even on duty at that time.
Other aspects of the property seemed run down and service in the bar was poor.

Clean and quiet! Nice pool and they offer water with lime, lemon or orange! Wait time for elevator sucks but once you're on it they are the fastest I ever rode!

The rooms are comfortable, and we had a nice view of Bham. A microwave would have been a welcome addition to the room since we stayed 2 weeks following discharge from UAB. The Lab restaurant needs to improve in many areas: rap music played loud during breakfast, service is slow (even with few patrons), and the food was not good. Husband's soup was barely warm.
Bham has a problem with street racing and every evening we heard loud motors roaring for hours. Not a restful environment for people recovering from surgery. When I complained to the front desk they acted like they never knew anything about it.
The parking deck was conveniently attached to the hotel. We appreciated the shuttle service to Kirklin Clinic. The driver was always friendly.
Rodney, at the Starbucks located in the lobby was efficient and friendly.

I am never disappointed with a Hilton Hotel. Every time I stay at a Hilton Hotel I always feel like a king, Hilton UAB Birmingham was no exception, the location, amenities and service are second to none. My room was gorgeous!!
Rooms: My room was gorgeous, every appointment made the room feel luxurious and sharp.
Safety: I felt very secure in the hotel.
Walkability: The location to everything in UAB was perfect, right down the road from the strip of restaurants and bars.
Food and drinks: The fact there was a Starbucks right in the lobby was perfection!!
