The coolest place in the Birmingham to see all types of local & nonlocal music talent! My son's band, HIRAETH, has played there several times now & the management there is top notch to say the very least! I highly recommend it to any & every one who loves music! Every time I've been, admission is just $10 & at least 4 bands/artists perform every time. You absolutely cannot beat that & you definitely get SO MUCH more than your money's worth! It's a community arts center during the day that helps to support local artists. At night, after they close, which I think is between 5pm & 7pm, is when they open for live, scheduled performances. What they do there for local, up & coming artists is such a WONDERFUL thing! It is such a beautiful thing to see everyone, all types of people, come together and support each other there! I meet so many wonderful, new people every time I go! It's a SUPER blessing for sure! If you want to see how music really does break all barriers & brings all people together no matter their differences and if you want to experience the true love, care & support that comes with the precious gift of music, I HIGHLY recommend that you go watch a show at The Firehouse!

Thank you, Firehouse, for what you bring to the children (and adults) of Birmingham! “Music is the universal language of mankind.” Thank you for the block parties, the music lessons, the mentors, and the friendships you bring to all of us!

Politics have overrun this venue and I will not be back. Politics have no place in music scenes and if yours differ from the people working the door you are guaranteed to have a bad experience

A good no-frills dive of a DIY venue. As to be expected, it's a very intimate venue. Just my type of place.

Great venue. Can't speak for the classes since I've never used them, but the diy shows alone make this place a gem within birmingham. If you want an authentic, personal atmosphere filled with passionate people, this is the place to be

What a great place to learn how to be a musician! The April block party was amazing, and all the kids seemed to enjoy getting on stage and learning what it's like to play for a crowd. I'm so glad we have this cool music school in our city. Bravo!
