Definitely need to know for next time which way is the right way to go. Then prepare properly for these trails and what seems so great in my head might ehhhhh not be. (Light bulb goes off) SCREW THIS, LETS GET OUT THERE AND GO!!!All jokes aside the views and just the relaxing feeling throughout this area is amazing. Take a few minutes and just go and see you won’t be disappointed.

Wow-what a gem! This is a lovely hike. I’d call it an *easy hike. It’s a lovely, winding path along the creek. The path is clearly marked. Lightly travelled in the fall on a gorgeous 55 degree day. The most elevation is the return to the parking lot. It’s an easy hike….however, there are plenty of rocks and roots which can be covered by leaves in the fall and winter, making it fairly slick and easy to trip up over. Not a problem at all, but be forewarned if you go after a rain! I ran into an older couple who was unprepared for the rock scrambles (which are really not difficult, but could be a problem for those with a greater “fall risk”. If you do t know what a “fall risk” is, then I imagine you don’t have to worry about it-haha!)Also note that it is 1.8 miles one way. So if my 1st grade math is right, that makes it a 3.6 Mile trip. I will be back and highly recommend this route!

Absolutely love this trail. It isn’t long but it’s too short or a trail either. The woods are so pretty and the trail follows a creek. There areas that are rocky but primarily all the trail is pretty easy to walk. Great for people that want to do a jog with different terrain.Dog-friendliness: Great place for dogs to hike with their owners. The creek is great to let dogs get in and play and it’s a nice trail for dogs to explore.

Very first hike. Good weather, very nice shaded areas. Wear some good shoes! The view at the overlook was worth the walk! I'm so glad I stuck it out!

This is a beautiful slice of Alabama nature in a very well laid out and easy to navigate trail system. It's always very peaceful and serene, just be careful as it can be a bit difficult to traverse specific areas deeper in the trail.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are of course welcome and celebrated as they should be, just be careful as Alabama does have snakes in the woods. Happy hiking!

Vader and I visited another (NEW) hiking trail today, with beautiful views and crystal clear, freshwater Creeks.Compared to my usual drive, It's off the beaten path a little bit, but easy to find and we will definitely be back to explore more, as it is a hiking trail that connects all the way to the top of a ridge in that area.Cross paths with a couple of people on the trail and they were wonderful, super nice folks.

I used to live right down the road from this place. This is the most beautiful nature trail i have ever been too and i miss it. I moved back to kentucky and haven't found one like it. Please do yourself a favor and check this place out. I would take my dog here all the time.

This is the closest place to me (just over the Shelby County line in St. Clair County) for trail running or hiking. It’s a good 3-4 mile there and back. Most of the trail is alongside a creek. It’s fairly busy on the weekend, but empty on the weekdays. Easy enough to trail run without too many obstacles. The trail is well/maintained.

Loved this trail! A couple of adventurous spots but nothing too wild. I saw folks walking their dogs and folks with their kids. If you like walking next to water like me, it’s definitely a good one :) There are a couple of benches along the path and a picnic area towards the end. Overall trail is 1.8 miles in one direction, but you’ll need to walk back the same path to get back to your car.
