Yesterday, I came to the “SUMMIT BELK”spoke to a really nice lady concerning getting a ring and she stated there will be a trunk show with “Le Vian Trunk show” tomorrow you can put your name and number in the appointment book they will have other merchandise I may be looking for and I can get an extra 20% off if you set an appointment which I was happy about so I did it because they had a ring I really wanted! Well, Today (01/16/24) tried to see what time SUMMIT BELK opened since we had some bad weather(snow/ice) the night before. Well, of course no one picked up when I called around 10:00 am, 10:30am, the automated system was still stating that BELK opened up at the “regular hours” so I went to SUMMIT BELK got there at 11:30 am and they were CLOSED!!! My 1st problem is they could have updated the AUTOMATED SYSTEM to say they were opening later due to weather! 2nd when I was there employees were arriving but customers were going up to see if they were open EMPLOYEES OF BELK WERE COMING INTO THE STORE BUT DID NOT HAVE THE COURTESY TO PUT UP NOTIFICATION TO LET THE CUSTOMERS KNOW WHAT TIME THEY OPENED (LOSING MONEY ? BELK) !!!!Once I got home I called SUMMIT BELK and I spoke to “Dave” I tried to explain to him I had an appointment with the jewelry department and he stated it was canceled mind you as I’m trying to explain the situation he was interrupting me, very rude and nasty so I just asked for his supervisor’s name after he kept being so rude with me I had to ask him for it 3 or 4 times he had the nerve to say “what would I need to speak to her for”? Excuse me? I told him you can say yes or no you can give me her name or not which he finally gave me her name “Christina Bryant” which it may or may not be her name and unfortunately this is not the first time I had a bad experience at this particular BELK! You would think I would have heard from the supervisor by now for an escalated issue or any supervisor but I have not! This all boils down to it’s not the fact the store was closed it was just at least update your AUTOMATED PHONE SYSTEM TO MAKE CUSTOMERS AWARE OF THE UPDATED TIME OF OPENING AND BELK WEBSITE.I asked Dave was he a manager and he stated “yes”.IF THIS IS THE TYPE OF MANAGEMENT YOU MAINTAIN AT THIS STORE THANKS BUT NO THANKS I WILL SPEND MY MONEY AT A DIFFERENT STORE WHICH THEY VALUE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Came in today 12/18/2023 around 10:30am and brought my cousin and her friend we were looking at fragrances and I guess the Mont Blanc representative didn’t know that I was with them and walked up to one of the ladies working in fragrances and told her that she needed to keep an eye on them to make sure they weren’t stealing and the lady at fragrances kept an eye on them the whole time. There were other people around the counters looking and smelling too and the other people were white but my cousin is mixed and her friend is black. The only reason I will ever go in Belk again is to see my old coworkers but I will not waist another penny in there and will be making sure that all of my friends and family know what happened!!!

Belk is not a store that I shop at often.. The times I have gone there. I did make a purchase.

Something there for everyone. Prices are in line with other stores. I gave four stars because they need more staff to assist the customer.

I am 5'2" and wear petite pants. This location didn't have a petite department . The store in the Galleria does.

I haven't been helped with this degree of exertise and kindness in a long time. The store is well stocked and well organized. It is the sales team that made the shopping experience amazing.

I visited the men's department the other day and spoke to Mr. Anthony. He was very polite and helped me find a good suit without overselling. Time well spent!

Just wanted to return a pair of shoes. The husband just got out of the hospital, and he's waiting on the car. Thought I could run in real quick, boom!! Returned!! Not here. Was greeted at the door by an employee doing a survey. Answered the question and then asked for the nearest register for returns. He saw the show box and stated to go to that department. 5 people in front of me. ? Asked an employee if there were any other registers open. She points to the one further into the store. It's still a line, and now, 15 minutes waiting. When it's my turn, I first, even though annoyed, great the employee and tell him that I just need to return the shoes. Sounding like I'm bothering him, not even giving eye contact, he stated that he couldn't take the shoes and I had to go all the way to the back of the store to return them. Waited again. This time, though, the employee was nice. I explained my disappointment with today's visit. She apologized for the misinformation and offered to speak to a manager. I had to decline, husband still in the car after now 30 minutes. Who knows how long it could have taken them! Finally shoes returned.
