Clean with good UAB merch, but outrageously overpriced. Also when I went to get my textbook, the employee had to search for it around the stockroom because it was just floating in the area. It felt very poorly organized and that was frustrating.

The stores are nice. Nice cafeteria. But there's not much rain shade. If it pours, you are gonna get wet.

Most of my experiences at the UAB bookstore have been very positive and satisfactory. That being said, I experienced a staff member who was very confrontational and rude with no apparent reason today.This person seemed put off at the fact that my friend and I approached the counter at the back rather than the registers at the front (two of which were closed, the open one being unoccupied) to return our books, and upon seeing us waiting there, was very curt and asked if we were "speaking to a ghost," as well as lecturing us for "walking past three other people" that could've assisted us. The person working at the help desk ended up assisting us rather than this individual.I meant this person no inconvenience, and I would somewhat understand their tone had I or my friend been rude, or if the bookstore was at all busy, but considering that we waited less than a minute at the counter and were the only patrons in there, this person's reaction was unprofessional and off-putting.

Well organized, light, colorful and a tribute to the Dragons! There are even some games for students to purchase and play when they aren't studying.

My favorite restaurant is the Full Moon BBQ in the Hill Student Center. They are typically busy, considering that it is located in the student center. However, it doesn't take too long for you to order and get your food, depending on the time of day. Expect to wait at least 10 minutes for your food to be ready. The customer service is great! I love talking to the workers because they are always smiling when they see me. I ordered the smoked wings meal that comes with 4 wings, fries, and a drink, along with some white sauce that is absolutely delicious! They are a little pricey, so expect to spend at most 15 dollars on a meal. Although, I wish they would add more wings to the meal since they are pretty expensive. There are few to no COVID-19 precautions. Everything appears to be returning to normal; masks and social distancing are no longer required. Overall, I do recommend eating here!

Love UAB bookstore! They need to update their prices though, the over priced gift shop vibe of college campus bookstores is a thing of the past. We need an efficient, cheap, practical, mini Target as many of the other public Universities now have.

My husband hates going to UAB and I didn’t understand until today. They sold him the incorrect access code to a textbook which he didn’t realize until he had already used the code. He called ahead before he drove all the way back to Birmingham to make sure he was able to be helped. They said to come in to the store to talk to a manager. He drove 40 minutes to the bookstore for the second time today. They told him that they couldn’t do anything. So we just threw away money for the incorrect textbook. He needs the correct textbook in order to complete assignments and so now we’re forking out more money to get the correct textbook straight from Norton. Just avoid UAB bookstore, and UAB all together because there are so many things like this that occur. Waste of time and waste of money. Also it’s cheaper from Norton anyways. 0/10

Extremely expensive and they constantly re-organize the store or just don't have enough staff. Only good thing is their $6 lunch deal but even then they will run out of products thats included so you can't use the deal.

Shouldn't have a phone number because they don’t use it. I sent my books back and had them returned back to me for some reason. So they tried to charge my card twice for the missing books without my authorization. Obviously understaffed. Good luck getting your questions answered. Don’t rent, buy or waste your time here!!!

Spring 2021I unfortunately made the mistake of ordering my textbooks through the bookstore. I ordered them online and set it to pick up in store. The day after I ordered, my card got charged almost 100$ more because they upgraded my textbooks to rented new. Failed to inform me of this decision, all the while their website still showing that rented used was still available. I ordered my books through another site. I also come to find out a week into classes that one of the books I ordered is recommended, not required. So I attempted to return it. They tell me if i want to return it I have to drop the class. Overall, I’ve never had a pleasant experience. Please use Chegg, they send you candy and Redbull.
