When I say I love this country place!!! I had reservations using a caregiving service. I didn’t want a stranger in my home. They were knowledgeable from the first phone conversation. I met the owner within a few days. Then I had a visit with the client care manager right after we started up. She came to see how everything was going and how I liked my caregiver. I was just so surprised at the level of care and concern. My dad calls her family and I couldn’t agree more. I’m glad I didn’t let my reservations keep me from meeting such amazing people. Once you meet the owner Len. You will know exactly what I mean.

I have really enjoyed working with this company. The patients are well taken care of and I have really enjoyed spending quality time with my senior that I sit with. She is just the most precious lady!

We are having a great experience with Amada. This is the first time our parents have needed caregivers. They were very uneasy about having someone in their home. The care givers that come are such a help to them. They know what my mom and dad need and they enjoy being with them. My dad is doing his exercises and mom has help with remembering to take her medications. With all four of us sisters living out of town from them it is a huge relief to see our parents happy and taken care of Thank you Amada!

Len really knows his long-term care stuff. As the relative of a client, I've been a financial advisor to families and individuals for years - I am incredibly impressed by Len's expertise in helping families navigate the maze of planning for complex medical situations. Amada and their excellent Caregivers are also incredibly thorough and provide excellent communication start to finish. Especially being out of town, I feel reassured knowing someone has a pulse on things.

I needed care for my dad on very short notice. He was being released from rehab and couldn't go home without care being in place. From the first time I called Amada the staff understood what I needed, Len came to the rehab facility to explain how it all works, and the care that can be provided. Two days later my dad was sent home with a caregiving team in place. He is getting stronger everyday and I don't have to worry about his meals, medication or him falling. My wife and I are so thankful for the care Amada provides.

I really didn't know much about home care when I started looking for agencies, or how it was different from Home Health, what to look for, etc. I am so glad I found Amada. I really trust the owners and appreciate all the time and energy they spend training, coaching, and mentoring the people who work for them. Trying to do the best thing for your family is so hard and feeling like you are working with people who are honest with you, great problem-solvers, and have the best intentions for everyone involved is refreshing and hard to find. Five stars all the way around!

When my family first started thinking in-home care, I considered hiring someone privately. Pretty quickly we realized how challenging it is to find great Caregivers, manage different schedules, and mix and match for the coverage we need. It reminded me of my years in the restuarant industry. Finding Amada was a godsend. I don't know how they do it, well, after meeting and working with their Staff, I do get it. But they have a great group of Caregivers and juggle everything really well. I've recommended them to other now very happy Clients.

Its been tough watching my fiance wrestling with taking care of family out of state. But when she gets off the phone with Amada or her mom after they've been there, she is so much more relaxed. Very helpful! Glad we found them!

When my Mother was suddenly released from the hospital, I knew I needed 24/7 care. I called three companies and the owner of Amada came to my house the same day to explain how they worked and had me a sitter that night! They were not late, were very gracious and kind to my Mother, attending to her every hour. They are great to work with and highly recommend. Donna H in Hoover

CarleeNavigating healthcare is a maze! When it came time to seek care for my own family, frankly I was already exhausted from being a full-time RN and years of being a traveling nurse. Trying to find help for my family from out of state (I’m in South Carolina and my family is in Birmingham) was so daunting. Amada was just what the doctor ordered. From speaking on the phone with Laura Lee to meeting with the Owner Len to the great Caregivers we loved, the whole experience was great. It is also so nice to see a company that really appreciates and takes care of its people. And it certainly translates to how their Caregivers take care of my mom. Nicole brought her Valentine gift the other day - cute heart socks and a card that made her week. I feel so much better knowing that caring people are looking out for my mom when I am so far away!

Amada has sooo impressed me! I am amazed at how much the whole team knows about senior care and how well they run their operations. As a former Social Worker at UAB, I know first hand how easily care after the hospital can slip through the cracks. I am so glad my family and I made the decision to trust Amada!

Len really knows his stuff. Talking to him about Long-term care insurance and Veteran’s benefits is quite the education. As a retired Army Colonel, I can relate to Len with his own Army experience and feel confident he will do right by those who served and all of his clients. It’s nice to see good people doing what’s right.

In August my mother had a bad fall and broke her hip. The hospital required care at home for her to be discharged and we were in a panic. All of us children have families and jobs; we were concerned about finding an agency that could care for her and be trusted in her home without us there. Mom was very active before the fall, so the other concern was if mom would be accepting of care and of her new reality. We called many agencies and were impressed with how quickly Amada responded. They also understood mom's emotional needs, not just the physical ones. We also liked that the caregivers have multi-state background checks and are trained annually on caregiving skills. This gave us peace of mind, along with their high level of liability insurance. In the rare instances when the scheduled caregiver had an emergency, Amada quickly provided a backup trained caregiver. The caregivers had access to my mother's care plan, so they were up to speed on mom's medicines and likes and dislikes.Mom enjoyed the care she received so much, that after she improved, her favorite Amada caregiver still comes three times a week. Mom has someone she trusts to help prepare meals and do light housekeeping and it takes some of the burdens off us. We know she is being checked on those days and is in good hands. The caregiver even motivates mom to complete her physical therapy exercises.Thank you Amada for continuing to take such competent care of our mom - I can't express in words how much this means to our family.-Sal Matthew-Rizzo
