McCalla Publix is ridiculously slow!!!! They will have my prescription for hours or even days and whenever I get there it's always an hour more or 20 minutes. Even when I call before I leave, they say it will be ready by a certain time then of course when I get there it's still not ready.

I never leave reviews but I just had yet another negative experience at this location and felt like it was time to put something out there for other people to be aware of before coming here.I worked as a Rx Tech in college so I feel like I have realistic expectations in what to expect from a pharmacy. I have never had a positive experience with this location.Today, I called to see if they had a drug in stock as my usual pharmacy was out and my doc advised me to call around to find a pharmacy that had it in stock and they would transfer it.I called a dozen pharmacies and every single one was able to answer my question (including a different Publix). But when I called this location, they refused to tell me and said my doctor would need to call them for that information. This was just one incident in a line of many.A few other reasons I am leaving this review for others to see:1) Publix charges more for their meds. Some people don't know that the price of prescription meds is not regulated. I have been charged up to 4 times as much for a prescription here - even after going through insurance.2) I have often been treated poorly/rudely.3) The wait time here is longer than any other pharmacy we have used. It has taken days to get a basic refill.4) Honestly, I don't think I have ever had a positive experience with the pharmacy location - whether over the phone, in the store or in the drive-thru.

This Pharmacy is extremely Rude. No matter the time or person you deal with they are all just the same. You call and they say give them an hour after the medicine was called in first thing in the morning and still not ready at 5. I do not understand. I wouldn't give them a star at all but it made me.

2 very important meds. One is important for daily functioning. Used their online app to order one. Had to call in the other because it's a controlled substance. I told them it was vital that I get them because I had to work. Long story short both were not ready. Was never called or informed in anyway. I called them and they said that the prescription got stuck in the system and they close in 5 minutes. So now I go to work off my meds. Thanks guys great job!

This is a great pharmacy. I’ve used them for years and always had good experiences. One time, I didn’t think I was going to get my son’s prescription in time before they closed because he was the last patient seen at the urgent care that night and the doctor took a while to send the prescription over to the pharmacy. I called the Publix Pharmacy and they got it filled as the very last one before they closed the doors.

I used Winn Dixie previously, but they no longer have a pharmacy. I thought I would try this Publix. My doctor called in prescriptions around noon today. I showed up around 5 to pick them up. I was told one was almost ready and to wait. When I asked about the other two, I was ultimately told there was an issue with the provider. All 3 meds are from the same provider. They couldn’t give me any more information as to why one was almost ready but there was an issue with the other two. I asked if I could just pay out of pocket if my BCBS wasn’t accepted because I needed the medicine. I was told the price and agreed to just pay without going through insurance. I was then told it wouldn’t be filled tonight due to the number of people in the que ahead of me.

Can't say enough about these people in this pharmacy, especially Melissa. She helped me out and fixed an issue that I had with a copay card and saved me money. Good people, good customer service!

Some days are better than others. This would have been a 5 star review a couple of years ago, but unfortunately staff changes have occurred. The customer service given by the grocers is excellent every visit. The pharmacy staff; not so much. It is not what it used to be.

absolute worst pharmacy i have ever dealt with. used them for 2 years and constantly had issues. wrong amount of pills in the bottle. prescriptions not ready on time. prepaid prescriptions all of sudden not paid for. complete orders dissappearing and i tried using their delivery service and ended up on the phone with their corporate office for 90 minutes until they discovered the delievered texts i got were wrong and that the presciption was actually never picked up. never mind when i had to go in the next day to get them, they told me that magically one of them was not paid for. never again with this place.

I used them for a while but never again. I’ll stick to local pharmacies without all the bureaucracy. A surgery post op plan was already discussed, in detail, between both my doctors and myself because of the type of medications I’m taking. There was no policy that stopped the pharmacist from filling my prescription, she just didn’t want to. Went to the next pharmacy down the street, no problems.

The professionalism I experienced at this location was phenomenal. Justin (the black tech) went above and beyond to assist me with a prescription refill issue. He advised me I needed to contact my doctor and was even kind enough to speak with my insurance provider on the phone.This is not my usual pharmacy but from now on I don’t mind driving the few extra minutes here!
