Price is fair and high efficiency, the only thing I don't like is they insist using premium parts. sometimes customers don't really need a premium parts goes into a car about to get rid off.

Whitt’s is literally the best in the Auburn area. I’ve been in the area for going on 7 years now and I’ve tried many automobile service centers. They’ve been the only ones that have been honest with me every time.

$400 for a car battery replacement with only 2 years of warranty….. Should have ordered it from Walmart and install it my self. I would call this a 400 dollar tuition for a great lesson.

I never got the chance to have a repair experience with these folks, however I felt I did need to write a review because they are absolute price-gougers.I went in to get a quote on a factory remanufactured transmission+install. The very nice man at the desk told me it would be between $5,000 and $5,500. This is a pretty insane price point, considering you can find a very nice factory reman online for an average of $2,000. I pulled it up in front of him and he replied, "Well, you'll have to find someone to install it." Does this mean he would charge over $3,000 on labor for an install? I called a few other shops who quoted me in the $1,000-$1,200 dollar range for an install. That is a very significant price difference-a few thousand, in fact.I live next to my elderly landlords and told them that I took my van in to, and when I said Whitt's they literally burst out laughing. My landlady said "Honey, you took it to the wrooooong place!" So among the locals, they have a reputation. My landlords told me they prey on college students whose parents will just pay whatever comes along. A sucker is born every minute, as the saying goes.Anyway, if you want a fair price, don't bring your car here. Laughably overpriced.

David and Mary Whitt run a tight ship, and like on Noah's Ark, you are fortunate if you can be one of the passengers! What I like best is the personal care David extends to his customers. He will sometimes walk me outside to my car to show me what he personally did, or instructed his mechanics to do. He does not make promises he can't keep. We service 4 old cars there. David tells it like it is: if he can get a part or not, if he thinks he can find a solution we can both live with, when he can schedule an appointment when it is not an emergency etc. (And possibly squeeze you in if there IS an emergency. And yes, if you do have an emergency, he will tell you when he can possibly squeeze you in, and even call you earlier if that is an option). I depend on Whitts. I can't say enough good things about his integrity! He keeps computerized records on everything he's ever done to or with your car, which is great for knowing if you still have a warranty or if you need an oil change when your windshield sticker is no longer readable! I did not see any recent reviews on this site so thought it was my civic duty to write one.
