$19.95 rental is a SCAMWe rented a van for a local move with a $19.95 special. When we arrived the receipt showed 50 miles charged to my card and I had not yet been given the keys. I was told that was just a hold on my card and actual mileage would be used at drop off. Since it was a local move we returned the van in 3 hours but were charged 59 miles. We drove 11 miles. They did not check actual odometer. When I called to get this fixed I was asked if I took a photo of the odometer, which I didn't think was necessary to anticipate being cheated. They continue to deny the claim. I offered to give gas receipt where we topped off the tank. It only took 3 gallons!

Made a reservation for a 15 ft truck for July 9th, 9:30am two months before move date. Reservation confirmed and thought I was all set. Get a text the night before (on July 8th) that I have been booked to a different location and pick is now scheduled for 4:30pm! Tied to call the location, no answer. Call the new location, and was told to call the 800 number. Called the 800 number, and the rep has no idea, no apology, just told me it was first come first serve and that they were working on reservations made back in January. Then why would you advertise the truck being available??? !!! Ask the rep to look in surrounding areas, said nothing is available. So, I ended up renting a truck in Atlanta (where I live) and drove it down and back. Extra mileage, gas, etc. but had no choice. This place is sorry! Just be aware that you truck reservations are not guaranteed, and they certainly are no help to resolve the situation.

Moral of the story: do NOT depend on a U-box as your storage plan! I wish I could leave 0 stars instead of 1. When I was stressed about finding an affordable and available storage option, I thought I found the perfect option with U-Haul's ubox. I booked a U-Box 2 months in advance. Then, 2 DAYS before my moving date, Auburn U-Haul called me to say they had no more u-boxes left, and that they had moved my reservation to Columbus (40 minutes away). Now, I would have to figure out how to move all of my stuff to Columbus to be stored there, or find out how to pick up a U-box (using a truck? a forklift? who knows?) in Columbus, transport it to Auburn, fill it up, and return it to Columbus for storage. The U-Haul rep on the phone informed me that she "didn't know what to tell me" because the Auburn U-Haul had been out of u-boxes for "months". Why was I able to reserve a u-box if none were available? There were no answers to that question. Thankfully, I was able to find another storage unit with a different company at the last minute. However, without that miracle, I would be helpless - and U-Haul offered me no help. I'm writing this one to warn future people like me - spend the money on an actual storage unit with a storage company, and avoid this headache! In case my story isn't convincing enough - I mentioned to the storage unit company I ended up using that I had tried using U-Haul at first, and the rep's immediate reaction was "Noooooo never depend on U-Haul" - apparently this is a frequent occurrence, especially with the u-boxes. :(

RUDEST workers ever. I have a reservation to return a trailer there. I unloaded the trailer into a parking space on the lot and they REFUSED to check it in, ORDERED me to drive 30 minutes out of my way to drip it at another location. When it hold the. My reservation was to return it there and the trailer already unhooked and properly parked the guy at the counter said "You and 14,000 other people. I told you to get it off my lot. I'm not accepting it!"

I have used THIS U-Haul many many times over the last 5 years and they have always been great, until now. I booked a truck 1 month in advance and the day before moving they call me and tell me I have to use Columbus GA U-Haul (an hour away and over $50 in gas for the truck-just to get there and back). They gave me no other options and told me that no other local locations could be used for drop off, pick up or alternate trucks. Since I have less than 24hours notice on the situation I have no other choice but to abide because everyone else is booked up with such short notice, however I will NEVER use this U-Haul again. A loyal customer at this location, now lost.

I have rented uhaul a from this location numerous times and they are nothing but helpful! I have had to call and extend my drop off time for a little longer and they helped do so with such ease!!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. It's so nice to drive my car to U Haul, have a truck reserved and leave my car there until we were finished moving. Moved my son from one apartment to another. Worked out great and only spent around $50. Just can't beat that. Thanks U Haul!

Reserved U-boxes 4 months ahead of moving date (for college kid) and was told 5 days before the move that they had no U boxes and that I needed to drive to another city (40 min way) to pick and store the U-boxes that I reserved 4 months ago. They told me that they don't guarantee a U box at the location that I booked but only after they couldn't honor my reservation. A paid reservation months in advance means nothing. Poor management. Poor company. I would not rely on them for a move during a busy time.

I spoke with Brad last week and he ordered wiring for my car hitch. I spoke with him yesterday afternoon and he set an appointment for today at 4pm to install. I walk in at 10 minutes before 4pm. I tell the man at the counter I have an appointment at 4pm to install wiring. His words and I quote.. I DON'T SEE THAT HAPPENING TODAY. He then starts texting and I ask him to contact Brad who I set the appointment with. He said that he was texting him that Brad was at a meeting. By this time I was angry . I called CTU down the road and they will have my stuff in tomorrow and install tomorrow afternoon.. I told the guy at the uhaul counter I would not need their service and I was taking my business elsewhere. He did not even seem to care. I suggest a lesson in customer service

Never rent in this location. They will double charge you, add additional charges for something you never rent and than you will never get in touch with them to resolve it or if you do, they will never call you back. Bad service. Manager - Wes. Doesn't do anything.
