Terrible service department. Dropped off a running vehicle and 2 weeks later it won't start

This auto group has given me the poorest experience I have ever had with a repair shop in my life!!!!!! yes.... no one wants to work .... so help is limited....I get it BUT.... I waited 3 weeks to get my car in. no loaner. they didn't even look at it for 3 DAYS! when they finally diagnosed it, I had to call them. I was going to have to wait for an axle coming from Michigan. still no loaner. forward 3 weeks later..... NO LOANER! NO PART!Every bit of communication I had to initiate . they are clueless!!! I ended up taking my car and trading it in at another dealership! I will NEVER GO or RECOMMEND Sons Auto Group for anything! worst place in Montgomery AL ! period!

Even with a scheduled appointment for oil change at 8:45 am they did not have my car ready at 4:30. Totally worthless. I signed up with Yelp just to give them a bad rating.

Service staff sitting around on they're phones and chatting while customers wait. Rate estimates are all over the place and don't line up with final costs. Labor takes 5x the time quoted and waiting rooms are bare. Id recommend any other dealership.

We were excited to see a truck within our vicinity that was priced reasonably. And they offered delivery, which was another bonus considering how busy we are. However, they use a company called Maverick to handle the paperwork and they do this to avoid fraud. I get that. But Google this company and you'll get an idea of what we dealt with. Had to send in proof of identity on a Fri. Come Tue, they inform us that it didn't go through. After 5 times of me submitting my info, and after switching notaries because the one chosen was starting her Labor Day weekend early, we finally signed the papers. I have to say, they delivered the truck on Labor Day before receiving the paperwork, which I was surprised about. However, we get in the truck and the change oil light is on. They drove it (didn't transport it on a flatbed) 150 miles with the oil light on. The week that we had to wait for our truck should've provided ample time for an oil change. In addition, there is a tear in the tint on the back passenger side window that's as big around as a softball- this explains the fuzzy video footage we received of the truck. Also, the truck was nasty. For the price on this truck, I would think it could've been cleaned up a little bit. On top of all of this, Ford Sons received our signed paperwork and our cashiers check on Sept 6. We have not received the paperwork on our truck yet and today is Oct 5th. We're still driving around without a tag or the paperwork from our purchase. I will never have a vehicle delivered again, and will definitely not use this dealership in the future.

They made me pay over a two hundred dollars for a diagnostic and tried to tell me it was 12,000$ to close my moonroof. I do not recommend.

I have called for 3 days in a row and have left voice messages to have my truck scheduled for repairs and no one answers. They now send my call straight to hold. I will never buy, sell or trade with this dealership.

This place is horrible! Terrible communication, terrible service, almost impossible to get a returned phone call, can't get anyone on the phone who can make a decision or provide you timelines or info on your vehicle. Took them 2 months just to get to my vehicle for services covered under warranty. After expressing my frustration, the service personnel on the phone indicated that parts ordered for my vehicle were getting put on other vehicles needing the same service. Had to file multiple complaints against the service department and was told to do so by another Ford dealership upon hearing all my issues.

This is my second time coming to Sons Ford service center. Every time they go over the top and to take care of all my service needs. Scott has a great crew that is Friendly and helpful. Give them a chance to take care of you

I brought my focus here for a service twice because my car was shuttering. I was without a car for more than 14 days just for them to test drive it and never figure out what was wrong with it. So my car still has the issue and my time was wasted

I do not recommend. Took my ford (50k miles) into get regular service, they recommended a battery service, completed that as well. 6 days later, car catches on fire. Service claims nothing's wrong, charges me a diagnostic fee. Claims they found evidence of an animal nest in what is a garage kept vehicle, driven 6 days a week. Conveniently, there are no pictures or other proof of this nest. When I ask about repairing the visible fire damage in the engine bay (which was conveniently not reported to my insurance) they take weeks to respond about estimates, parts availability, etc. It seems that the service department can't be trusted not to cause or neglect items leading to a fire or make it right afterwards. Felt like I had a dependable safe vehicle prior to taking it to Sons for service, now I park outside and carry a fire extinguisher in the car with me. I do not recommend.

I don't even know where to begin. Insane prices. Horrible service. They use fear tactics to try and scam you. Literally cheaper to maintain my Porsche 911 at Porsche than my F150 here. Sad day when you can maintain an exotic sports car cheaper than the most generic/dime a dozen truck in America. Bought the f150 thinking maintenance and parts would be affordable. Seems like a scam when they give estimates. They beat you up and tell you that your truck is so broken they can't even tell what all is wrong. Have 2k estimate plus over $500 in random "extras" bucket and they can't tell me why or what all that is bc "they can't tell what's wrong". I was told my truck was leaking so bad they had no idea what was broken and it'd basically blow up if I drove away. Seems like you could do an entire engine swap for the estimate they gave me. Fixing it on my own in my driveway for a few hundred bucks now. BTW not a single drop of oil in my driveway despite their scare tactics and acting like my car had blown up. They think this scam will utilize fear tactics bc you "shouldn't leave the dealership without their list of repairs". Seems like a really horrible approach. If they're correct why would I keep it or ever own a ford again? If it's as busted as they claim this only makes me want to go buy a Toyota or Honda. Seems like a horrible business idea. Exaggerate the situation to create urgency and fear and end up with a customer who regrets owning your product. All they to make a buck vs just doing what's right and increasing your customer base with trust. Horrible service.They left me stranded sans truck bc they essentially insisted I leave the lot and use a shuttle ride home vs simply waiting an hour for an oil change and a simple diagnosis. They did not bother calling when my truck was done. I called multiple times throughout the day and no one answered. Was told they'd call me back and they didn't. Found out it was done but it was too late for them to pick me up that day. I was happy waiting at the dealership for a few hours but they basically forced me to go home using their shuttle driver. So I was without a car all day and all night and most the next day on a simple oil change which seems horribly silly. Had to cancel and change plans etc. for work bc if it all. I've tried them three times since moving here and my other visits were similar. Down to selling the truck and trying something else brand wise, forgetting them and doing it myself or finding someone else I can trust to work on it. Not sure yet but something has to give bc I'm done giving this Ford dealership a shot.

I have never dealt with a more incompetent and underhanded dealership in my life. And we've bought a lot of cars. They obtained the incorrect payoff on my car. Apparently they can't follow clear directions when calling a finance company. So they claimed to be the owner, not a dealer. I specifically told the salesman that I had to have payoff or no deal. He told me he got payoff. We drove from Atlanta to Auburn to purchase the car. Once home and after having the car for a few weeks, I found out that the dealership didn't even send the correct paperwork to the tag office. This is when I found out that they hadn't paid off my trade. I called and they said they had gotten the incorrect payoff. That I needed to come up with an additional $4500. Excuse me? I have to pay for your incompetence?? That's not happening. So apparently they sold my trade in. Without paying it off. Without a title. Nothing but scammers. Stay far far away. I hate that I have to even give them one star.

Long story short I was looking for a Jeep for my Dad I found him one here . Transaction was smooth however they said they would pay me a referral for sending him in to get the Jeep. Which most all car dealerships do well I never got the referral so I called and asked and was told they forgot but would call me to come get a check waited 3 to 4 weeks so I called and asked about it again was told he would put it in and get it to me in the mail well here we are a couple months later never got anything the moral of this is you ask people to send you customers but you don't follow through with what you tell people you are going to do for them for sending them well if you do that to enough people you lose business. Word of mouth is the best advertising you can get and it's free I am doing this review because I need the money I just wanted them to follow through with what they told me they would do at the end of the day you losing business does not affect me it affects you and as a business you should care about that. I will not send anybody else nor shop with you again and that goes for my family aswell.

We are from Montana and here renting thru the winter to May 2021. The employees at Sons Automotive Group Ford treated us with 100% professionalism , courtesy & honor. They are 100 % there to serve you & to meet your needs of your vehicle. Our Lincoln was washed and detailed at no extra cost ! Highly recommend them !
