These apartments are absolutely terrible. Wasted money. Air conditioning leaks to mold growing. Highly don’t recommend! And I now have water leaking from my bathroom sealing and looks like it’s about to fall in. It’s 9:30 at night and I can’t contact anyone.

This place is honestly really great for the price. You can bring friends with you to lease the other rooms separate from yours or meet new people!! This place is great for students as it’s a first stop location for tiger transit and a school bus comes by across the road for kids. They are always trying to make you as comfortable as possible. They can’t control who your roomate will be other than boy or girl. Honestly all and all it’s great! Staff is really sweet and if something’s not working you can expect something be done about it the next morning. There’s always a few bumps in the road when you go into any student housing but honestly it’s been nice!! The management is really nice too. Just don’t be rude and be polite and you will get all the help you need for yourself or your child!

The leasing office is just awful people who don’t really communicate anything and if you’re stuck in building 14 and room 1412, the roommate that is there and apparently staying she is psychotic and crazy lock your stuff up. Do not even become friends with her because she’ll go in your room and unlock your dog Crate and let him free so he can just rage through everything he wants and you can’t do anything because it’s he said she said kind of statement even though she psychotic and goes off

Just moved in this week. So far found the bathroom vanity sink with broken handles and the dishwasher needs repaired. The staff are friendly but I think they could communicate better with other. One of them told me that I didn't have an application on file after I had already signed a lease.

I lived in the Samford Square for almost 5 years from Jan/2017 (at the time called "Tiger Lodge") to Dec/2021, when I officially left the apartment. Since then I've been trying to resolve a pending matter, so I hope that this time I can get an effective return from the Samford Square administrative team. When I moved there, there was a clause in the contract that I had to pay the rent for the first month (January 2017) + the amount corresponding to 2 monthly rents in advance. These 2 months paid in advance would be returned after I moved out. After the end of the contract, I contacted the office to receive the amount of the 2 rent deposits that I paid, but after many frustrated calls and many unanswered emails I still haven't been able to receive this refund. Just to be clear, the amount paid in advance was due to the lack of a guarantor at the time of signing my first lease, and this amount was never deducted from my rent. I wish the office would finally give me an answer. They did not reply to my e-mail after I even shared my first lease contract with them.

samford square while nice and pretty on the outside the actual rent portion is horrid. They try to distract you with the beautiful landscaping, pool, and walkways which by the way are always covered in dog poop. It smells horrid since they don’t enforce the rule to other tenants of cleaning up behind their dog(s) . The staff is not very friendly i’ve only met like 1-2 friendly staff members since i’ve been here. They seem like everything is a bother, barely answer the phone and have the audacity to be rude. My apartment was not in great shape when coming in, the drains were clogged even the trash disposal, there was bugs, and wood bees are eating through the balcony it’s everywhere. It was not clean at all and that’s funny because i had to wait till a few days before college started to move in because they had to clean up after the past remnants which it doesn’t seem like they even did. back to the rent i am supposed to pay 725 but pay upwards of 760 a month. Then they basically threaten you and say if you don’t renew your lease in a timely manner rent is going to be increasing. I 100% don’t think the amount we pay a month is worth it. Then they charge you a fee for everything. This month my card was stolen and usually I’ll have my rent automatically come out my account since my card was stolen my bank reversed the transaction and it was now considered late. They sent me a very rude email claiming I had 7 days to get my stuff out if i didn’t pay soon and police would be involved. Of course i called to clear the issue up and as expected the girl on the phone was VERY rude and had a nasty attitude she didn’t help me at all and i ended up having to pay $825.00 that month. No one reached out to apologize or set things straight or even check in. As a college student that is not a little bit of money. When I complained no one said or did anything, as long as they can suck you dry they don’t care about you. I honestly am looking for somewhere else and i’ve only been here since august. The only reason i’m staying is because it’s very close to my job. This is not a good place for people who can’t stand up for themselves and is honestly overpriced. They would charge you to breathe if they could. Not renters friendly, not understanding, not very clean, there are honestly better options for cheaper even.

I normally don’t give out bad reviews. But my situation at Sanford Square has been the worst. When I arrived at my apartment, my apartment was not in good shape. There were various issues like broken shower handles, malfunctioning light bulbs, dirty carpets, deteriorated wood caused by water. I asked for a quiet environment before moving in but they placed me with loud roommates. The apartment was not in a livable condition in which I had no option but to move out. When they violated their part of the lease, they asked for a 350 dollar relet fee for their fault. How is this fair? I went to dispute this fee with the manager only for my message to be ignored, and responded by the front office. Don’t live here! It is a good waste of money.

This place was awesome! Huge community pool and very nice hangout spots for residents. I was impressed by how big the units are. Also it’s in great area of town, plenty to do near by. But by far the best part was the helpful staff. Especially Margaret Morgan, she was very nice and knowledgeable about all things Samford Square and the surrounding neighborhood and Auburn. War Eagle Margaret and Samford Square!! Thanks!!!❤️

I've lived here for about 8months; the property is top-tier when it comes to the cleanliness of the pools, property, and trash areas. Maintenance does a great job when it comes to handling work orders and the property manager Dylan and assistant property manager Margaret has been one of the best property managers I've met. The complex is always running smoothly because of them and the front office staff. They're always open to meeting with residents with smiles on their faces and great attitudes. 5 ⭐️

I’ve lived at Samford Square for almost three years now and the manager (Margaret Morgan) and her team has never been better. Margaret has personally gone above and beyond for me when she didn’t have to. Whether, it was a billing issue or a maintenance issue, they are always on top of it and willing to work with us best they can. Thank you all for your commitment to the residents.

I visited here for the first time today and was blown away on how nice the place looked. I was greeted and helped by Sierra from the front desk in the main office. I will definitely tell my friends about this place from now on! This is a must visit apartment complex if you are looking for something not too far away from campus!

Don't live here. I moved in about a month ago with my sister and friend. We toured a 4 bedroom which was really nice and we signed a lease for a 3 bedroom and were assured it would be the same layout just minus the back bedroom. We were not allowed to view an actual three bedroom until we moved into ours. When we came in we were shocked to see that the layout of the kitchen is completely different and instead of the open layout we toured, the kitchen feels completely closed off. The furniture is also different. Aside from that, we had broken blinds, a messed up kitchen faucet, messed up counter tops, a broken washing machine, a broken dishwasher, mold in ac vents, poorly painted walls and ceilings, poorly patched holes in the walls, my bathroom door is coming apart and won't close properly, carpets smelled like cat pee, animal hair on couch cushions, no A/C vent in the living room and overall the place was just dirty when we were told we couldn't move in until days before classes started just so they could have time to clean behind the past tenants when that clearly wasn't done. When we discovered all of the issues we went up to the office to ask about them and we're assured they would be fixed within a couple of days. We have lived here over a month and over half of the issues still haven't been fixed or we had to fix them ourselves. Work orders were even marked "complete" when no work had been done to fix them. I was even told by a maintenance man that I would have to go buy a part to fix our sink because they "didn't have anymore". If I have to go buy supplies maintain should have, why am I paying rent? Also, the floors/ceilings are extremely thin. Any small movement our upstairs neighbors make can be heard throughout our entire apartment. On top of all of these issues, the office never answering the phone doesn't help.
