I bought christmas tree today with 75% off. I was asking to open it before I buy it but they said ‘no’ because that is new item. But after I bought it condition was awful as a picture and different item is in it. So I came back to Dillard’s and ask to exchange it but they said no exchange and no return even item was defect or something. I have to contact manufacturer by myself to handle it. But the worst thing is product is not what I should have. I bought 700 dollars christmas tree but inside 70 dollars cheap tree is in it. I can’t believe this situation happened at Dillard’s. When you buy defect or something in Dillard’s with clearance, you should handle it by yourself. That is Dillard’s rule.Update : After I sent email and post this review, I got an email from assistant manager that she would refund it. But still it was unpleasant experience. Nobody knows this fancy department gave that service. I had similar happen at Dirt cheap about 2 years ago before they closed. Different thing is I spent 20 dollars at that moment, not 194 dollars.

I am an elite card holder, this was my first time at this location since I’m new to the area. I spent 400 dollars and wanted some gift wrapping. When I got to customer service and told them I needed 3 gifts wrapped the lady went on a rant on how she told them she couldn’t do wrappings and now she had to wrap 3 gifts by herself. She proceeded to talk to us in a rude tone and she kept tapping the card machine and telling me how it is waiting for me to press something with a nasty attitude. I remained calm, never said anything and just waited for my stuff. I had never felt so disrespected, I understand retail can be difficult but why take out on customers.

Bought a $600 suit sent it off for alterations. It came back. Alterations were not correct. Didn’t hear from them for a while so I went up there. They can’t find my $600 suit. They have no idea where it is. Save your money get a suit elsewhere.

They close very early on a Saturday night. The first thing you hear when you walk in the door is “Can I help you with anything? We close in five minutes.” I.e. “Please get out of here. I want to go home.” I hate to see so many retail stores go out of business, but in many ways they deserve it.

One of my go-to places to buy clothes, accessories, footwear and home items. The area is big and well organized. I just wish they have 2 more restrooms for shoppers.
