I was there yesterday and the young woman who works at the drop off and does the insurance was so helpful and friendly. If it wasn't for walmart pharmacy I wouldn't be able to afford my prescriptions.

Recently moved to Athens and due to disability and inability to drive, required very close proximity to shopping. I was thrilled that we moved within walking distance of a Walmart. My family has always spent the bulk of our shopping money at Walmart. Unfortunately, the Athens Walmart is a huge disappointment in so many ways. They need help! From the worst customer service, bad floor presentation (a mess), trash everywhere outside and surrounding the store...I could go on. I go to this location only if it's a necessity and no one to take me to the Madison Walmart. Yeah, If someone from corporate reads this please look into this Walmart and help them.

I receive a text when its time for refills and a text when its ready to pick up. They hold it for 10 days and text me reminders to pick up. Staff is professional and informative. Anytime I have questions they take the time to answer or research until they find the answer.

Wouldn't even be able to afford my prescriptions without Walmart pharmacy, so take that haters. CVS? Over five hundred dollars. Walmart? Seventeen. Read it and weep.Olanzapine 20mg fluoxetine 20mg and atenolol 25mg. Three medicines only 17 bucks. They're fast and efficient, take my scripts, or my doctor calls it in. No problems. The only problems are these negative Nancy's. So ha.

Each trip you must wait and wait and wait. Takes forever! Sometimes several trips and I live 30 miles away and am 72 years old. It is hell getting prescriptions! There has got to be something better.

Some people think they can get a prescription called in or call in for a prescription refill to the Athens Walmart Pharmacy and have it filled in less than half an hour. Sometimes it can’t be done. They’re not the only people needing prescription medications. Do they think that everyone should have to wait while they are placed at the front of the line. Sounds like these people are spoiled rotten. They are used to getting anything and everything they want almost immediately. They get mad when they don’t get it. Who are these buttwipes and where did they come from. Surely they weren’t born and raised in Alabama!!! I think the Athens Walmart Pharmacy is staffed with friendly professionals who are doing a fantastic job!!!

Slow as all get out. Had a prescription called in, showed up 15 minutes later they told me to wait another 20 while they got it ready, 20 minutes later I come back and its still not ready so I'm still waiting.................. so a total of waiting for 40 minutes just to be told they're out of what I need WTF!!!!!!!

I honestly do not understand how between two walmarts (Athens and Madison) they still can't manage to get my prescription filled. I called the Madison Walmart during my work day to get it filled and ready so I could pick it up after work. A VERY rude employee said she couldn't fill it without a fax from my doctor. I've never had to have a fax because I've had this medicine for years now and never had an issue. So I called the Athens Walmart to see if maybe they could fill it because I typically get it filled by them anyway. They said on the phone that it was very simple to transfer over and it wouldn't be a problem whatsoever and they would have it by the time I got off work. Well I get there at 8 o'clock an hour before they close and a ALSO VERY rude employee who looks twelve, I think the name is Melissa, comes already rolling her eyes at the idea of having to do any work whatsoever and just says "What?" And I said can I pick up my medicine and she just says "Name" so I give her my name and birthday and I said July and she kept saying one as in January so when I told her July was a seven she rolled her eyes and said nope nothing here for you. I explained that I called earlier and it was supposed to be ready and she didn't have a care in the world and just said well it's not... and so I said well can I get it filled!? And she said you can go over there to the drop off and wait to get it filled so I just went over there and this lady (Heather)asked me all the exact same questions over again, asked what insurance I have, etc etc. (IVE BEEN GETTING MY SAME MEDICINE HERE MONTHLY FOR YEARS). She then explains she has to wait for "approval" from the Madison pharmacy. Keep in mind , on the phone they said they would do the transfer themselves and have it ready for pickup. After 30 minutes of waiting for so called approval the pharmacist lets me know that te Madison pharmacy closes at seven and so there's no way I'm getting it tonight.... wow. Between other two numbskulls no one thought to tell me that? And if anyone had bothered doing there job correctly in the first place it would've been done way before seven in the first place. I cannot wait to transfer it to a pharmacy that's dependable and knows customer service.
