I have spent so much money at this store over the last 18 years. We built a house and used this store for most of our needs. What a mistake. Employees really don't help with anything anymore. I have had to go to the Madison store many times because this store doesn't stock normal items. Went today to get items from landscape section. Bags of rock, sand, mulch, trees etc. Found out the drive through pick up area is closed. Asked why was told it was not in season. Wow! spent $350 and had to load everything myself. I will check Madison Lowes from here on out.

This is a good store with nice employees and once you hunt them down they are willing to help. The main problem is it is hard to find them. Being the only large scale home improvement store in the area, they are always busy so I am sure that contributes. I appreciate that they have a good selection and most of what I need when I go in and they are willing to help find it if they don't. Most things are a good value and they have decent seasonal sales.

We had a beautiful, new dryer delivered which had a dent along the back. After making sure the heating element worked, the kind delivery men sent photos to the Athens/Madison Manager, Chad Peed. He took my call with grace, and worked with me to resolve the issue. We appreciated the extra mile & being treated fairly. Highly recommend.

I enjoy going to this Lowe's sometimes because it is the road less traveled. It is not congested like the other ones around. I can only think of two downsides: many times they do not have the inventory that some of the other stores might have, and they have native wildlife. There are birds living inside Lowe's, and if you spend too much time there, you may want to purchase an umbrella to avoid getting pooped on. Seriously--two dozen birds at least.

Wow, this Lowe's is not getting much love here and that's not been my experience at all! Most recently we bought some paint here for our kitchen remodel. I can't recall two people [one male, one female] absolutely killing it in terms of business and organization. There must have been 14 paint-wanters hedging in on these two, and they didn't break stride over it. They did call in for some paint reinforcement - which did arrive. The lady helping us was knowledgeable, kind and on point in terms of what time [10 minutes] our paint would be ready. I enjoy a good Lowe's browse, and was able to do just that while awaiting the paint. The only glitch we had was at check out. They only have self-serve/self-scanning check outs, if I recall correctly. The first one didn't work, so we hopped over to the second one which did. Other than that, no problems at all anytime I have used this Lowe's.

We bought a couple of oriental lilies in April in Lowe's and it was said on a plant tag it needs full sun 6+ hours and after we planted it on full sun place we found the leaves starting to burn from being on full sun. After talking with other gardeners we learnt from them that this plant is not a full sun plant but in reality a partial sun plant. So the information about the plant being full sun is false. Now we are stuck with the plants that might die and are stunted in the growth. Be careful with buying plants from Lowe's - the labels are not correct.

Save yourself the trouble and drive to the Decatur location. From wrong cabinets in boxes I've purchased, to absolutely trashed countertops waiting for me from online pick up-today was the last straw. I could have went to the paint department and waited for them to mix up my paint and been out of their faster than waiting at online pick up today. They couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge my existence. DO NOT come here if you use a wheelchair. They do not charge their carts and leave you stranded in the store when they die. this place is a literal shit show.

Online pickup order. I walked into the pickup door, and was directed to the pickup lockers. Scanned the barcode, picked up my light and was done. Easy and fast. Thank you!

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Athens Location,or more specific Managers/Supervisors. I'm not here to complain about Lowes. Nor the staffing crisis we are ALL in. But more about taking care of the people who are taking care of you. It is your responsibility to treat them with respect and dignity. If you don't take care of these people, you'll soon find yourself without a job. Business will close. Plain and simple. Texting employees letting them know not to text you!?? I'm confused. Come on! Not setting an example (do as I say, not as I do). Leaders need to be role models, not hypocrites. Continuously scheduling employees against their availability, week after week will only cause them to quit. Some of these kids are in college. He or she shouldn't have to remind you every week. The most important part of a managers job is to build your team. Empower them. Build them up. Stop power tripping, get the chip off your shoulder and salvage people. Lastly, don't tell your employees about the medication your on! Don't use your condition as to why you lash out. This is why it's called "personal, private." Keep it that way. I'm not going to name the particular supervisor, you know who you are. Whatever the obstacles are you need to get them removed. Please correct this. I. don't want to go to the General Manager and or Human Resources. But if I need to, I will. I write this unapologetically and with respect.

I should have know better than to use this Lowe's after they had to write me a $20,000 check last year after they pushes a refrigerator across my real wood floors and scratched them beyond repair. We went and picked out a storm door with dog door built in. Paid for someone to come look at our door and give us an estimate to install it through Lowe's. And was told someone would call within 48 hours to come to our house. It even says it in the paperwork Lowe's gave us. It's now been almost 2 weeks and no one has called. Every time my husband or I call we get transferred multiple times and then hung up on while on hold. Now all I want is a refund because they obviously lied about being able to have someone install the door for us. But no one answers the phone. I will never use them again for anything. I guess I will have to go in person and find a manager. This Lowe's also only has 1 register open on Saturday's while tons of employees stand around talking to each other.

Lowes Athens AL - called the store several times trying to get someone on the phone. Good Luck! bought whole house install on windows and need some replacement parts. No one would answer the phone. Finally got Janice at customer service. After calling me honey and sweetie several times (demeaning) she said oh here's the department manager right here. the phone rang and rang again until it timed out and bounced back to Janice. No thank you for your "not customer service". REALLY!

So I needed a couple of fuses for my watering sprinkler system. I have a large cylinder fuse and a small one. The larger I found but needed help with the small one. There was a young man with a red Lowe's vest I asked "can you help me?" He says yes then an older gentleman with red Lowe's vest pushing a "lift" said "excuse me"(very politely) and the two walked off. Another her red vested Lowe's worker was passing by and I asked again"can you please help me?" He looked at what I needed help with, we go to where the fuses are and he picks up a package and says "This is it" I said "it is the correct size but the information on it is wrong" without even looking at the fuse I had other than its size he says "(well that's all we have") then walks off. He didn't look at it or made any suggestions literally nothing. Sadly this seems to be an ongoing trend when ever I need help there.
