Absolutely terrible experience with the JCPenney photo department today. I had a booked appointment at 4 pm, and arrived early at 3:55 pm to ensure I wouldn't be late. There was already a large group being photographed, and one of the customers in the group mentioned it would be a while due to taking turns with different poses. I figured the wait wouldn't be more than 10 minutes since they seemed to be nearing the end. However, 30 minutes passed, and no one from the photo department even acknowledged me. There was no greeting, no estimated wait time, nothing. I couldn't even make eye contact with an employee despite trying to peek around the corner. By 4:40 pm, I gave up and left. What frustrated me most is that no one even called afterwards to see where I was or offer to reschedule. It felt like my appointment never existed. If you value your time, avoid the JCPenney photo department. They have a complete disregard for appointments and customer service.

I booked a JCPenny Portrait session online for my sister who is recently engaged. We came up with the idea for my sister to wear my moms wedding dress for the photo shoot. I highly recommend Aryella she was an absolute delight and made the experience so special. Aryella helped to ease my sisters nerves during the photoshoot with her upbeat personality and kind demeanor. We are beyond impressed with the quality of the pictures. We all had so much fun! We will definitely come back to take more pictures with the bride and groom.

Made an appointment to hve some photos taken. Everyone here was nice for the most part, Jason was great. I would recommend him, but the other people here have complete atittudes and were not helpful at all. I feel the customer service really needs to be worked on. They've always had a good selection and good deals when coming here though.

Made an appointment online to have some graduation pics taken of my son due the ones the school took through Lifetouch being horrible and them making no effort to do a retake even though they are coming back to the school to take more pictures but that is another review . Jc penny portraits called me two days before to confirm we were coming and to go over the details. I asked if I could possibly come in at an earlier time. The lady I was speaking with said we could come in at 3:15 but it might be a wait because they had a big party ahead of us. I said fine. I received another call the day before to confirm my appointment and details and the gentleman that called even told me about the coupons and Groupons that were available to save us some money. Got in at 2:45 on Saturday afternoon there were kids everywhere only two photographers. It took about 15 minutes for them to check us in but I had been forewarned so I expected that. When Aryella finished with the huge family she had to photograph she came to take us in to the studio. She apologized for them being behind and proceeded to take some wonderful pictures. She listened to what we wanted, made some great suggestions and was very patient. She showed us all our purchase options and was very patient as we figured out what we wanted. Even my son who didn't want to take the pictures was happy with the pictures. I would definitely come back and have Aryella take more photographs for us she is a great photographer and employee

They Suck so bad ! Night crew/manager suck! Only 1 lady was willing to help us. All we wanted was to pick up our order We were downstairs waiting and the kid looked at us and started walking away like if we didn't see him. When I went to approach him and an older lady and another fella and told them I had been waiting they said well our register is closed and we're closed now. And I said ya but we've been waiting and you weren't closed then. They closed super early just to leave . I let the manager know and she basically just looked at me and said ya okay and? They prob just closed . Ummm no?? I had been waiting and no one approached us. She said well to bad now they're closed. What a manager ! What customer service! Cancelling my order and going elsewhere No point in spending my time or money here.

Their portrait department sucks how the Fffff does corporate make them book appointment 15 min after each other ! got their employees working like dogs. Their reviews were already bad but i was hopeful! 1) our appointment was 11:45am we didn't get our pictures taken until after 1:30pm. after our stupid 15 min shoot. we waiting 1 hour and 30 min to be told they were still editing. I HAD A TODDLER WAITING WITH ME OVER 3 1/2 hours!!!!!! 2) after waiting 1hour 30 min for our pictures to get edit. we asked what was happening and got told they were being editing and if we wanted to come back we could. I tried to pay and she said it was no point of paying yet bc the pictures weren't even done editing so i woulnt know what i wanted. She told me to come back when they were not busy (idk when bc that doesn't seem to happen at this location), I was told i could return under 60 days for my pictures. 3) With already having a toddler waiting over 2 Fffff hours ! I left. AGAIN BEING HOPEFUL. Today i went to TRY TO review my WHAT was SUPPOSED TO BE MY FAMILIES CHRISTMAS PICTURES TO BE TOLD THAT THEY ARENT EVEN SAVED IN THEIR FILES MY PICTIRES WERE NOOOOOO WHERE TO BE FOUND IN THEIR FILES!! I paid for makeup ! I paid for outfit to be able to get ready for what was supposed to be a family christmas shoot ruined alll because Corporate wants to overbook a shoot. I don't care for a discount that is all they can poorly offer me! This is so ridiculous All they promised was to look into picture archives files and to them they might not even bother to do it but i will be coming back ! The staff on Saturday December 23 will hear from me AGAIN . The Staff working Saturday December 17 alll overworked a good amount of them gave some type of good customer service. YOU WILL WAIT OVER 2 hours if you come here ! Trash Trash Trash The worker told me that had just happen to some one else and the Assistant manager i talked to said that never happen so i know they definitely do this often ! and seem to just now care !

The JCPenny Portrait workers were all polite. They let us know our wait time and checked in on us. Our photographer was Jason. He helped my sibling & I reenact our old studio photos when we were kids. He listened to our request and the poses we wanted to do. My first experience there and I gotta say I had fun

The staff that I dealt with were all nice, although I felt a little sorry for them that there was an atmosphere of total chaos and non-support when it came to having problems addressed. After several years, there were a couple of things I was shopping for, and I started my search at JCP. I can't begin to say what a depressing and awful experience it was .. not due to staff; they really were trying. Just the utter chaos when I was required to renew my JCP card if I wanted to use their charge. Of course I understand the old card/account having been closed after my not using it for a while. What followed, with two cash registers that were out of order, and a totally unsupporitive "corporate credit" person who was telephoned by the sales associate in an attempt to straighten out the situation. Ultimately, when I was asked to provide another form of payment (I do have excellent credit rating), I just terminated the transaction. I've ranted for too long here, and given what I experienced today I don't believe anyone in a position to make things better cares. that's all I have to say. I would be VERY surprised if JCP in Sun Valley Mall survives for another year, but that is because of choices they have made. I certainly won't be going back.

Its been years since I've shopped at JCPenney. Or Penny's as my grandma would say. My husband and I were getting married and I don't know how but he looked up on line or something that Penny's was having a good deal on decent men's suits. He wanted to get a new suit for the wedding ceremony. It was true. They had quite a few suit options available. We were trying to compliment my blue dress I was wearing as well. He picked out three suits and a few shirts to go with them. We found the suit that fit perfectly. At the register I looked online and found an online coupon and the employee ringing us up just scanned it right off my phone. I'm not even member or card holder. It was a good coupon so they took it. The sales I saw were decent. I really didn't get to look at much else than the men's selection on this trip. If also saw the photo department. I completely forgot they do family photography at JCPenny. From what I can tell its still really popular. There were so many people there waiting to get pictures. I really hope that JCPenny doesn't go the way of Sears or Mervyns. It was a nice trip and we found exactly what we needed.

We went there twice to take family pictures and both times we waited almost 3 hours. They are so unprofessional and so unorganized. I asked one of the staff what's taking so long, and she said they overbooked. So many families had to cancel their appointments or reschedule it. I'm never going there again. Horrible experience.

I just went to buy bras. 1st the side entrance was closed so I had to walk all the way around to get to the bra department which is right by the side entrance. Then it turns out that if I want to try on a bra before buying I have to schlep across the entire floor to get to a fitting room. Zero stars I know that there is 4 changing rooms on the floor, one in each corner and you have closed 75% of them. Congratulations on making the store inaccessible to anyone with certain disabilities. The main value prop for in-person shopping is being able to try things on or see them live. You have decided that isn't needed at all. So I don't need you either. No love, 45 year shopper.

Nice, big JCPenney, the staff was friendly. The restroom situation is weird though... The women's restroom is hidden in the salon and the men's restroom is hidden in the far back of the corner of the basement and had no door... Anyway, found a nice pair of pants for work.
