In and out fairly quick. Dr. Baxter was very detailed and thorough when scanning my dog and explaining the options and the steps of each option. Maybe a little pricy, but if you're in a pinch and don't want to travel far, this is a good place with great doctors and great service.

Staff is very nice. Building is excellent and Vet was super friendly. Our dog Jolene loves her and she usually doesn’t like anyone. Glad we found Jolene a good doctor. We are new to the area from Nashville.

No two pet families are the same, nor does anyone ever start a family looking forward to the day when it ends. Alas, our family made the hard decision to say our goodbyes because the quality of life for our beloved kitty had lost its beauty. She was no longer enjoying her sunbeams, and her purr box no longer led her into peaceful kitty naps. There was no condemnation or criticism; there was time allowed for one last goodbye, there were no scornful looks our way, and no one said we should go to any expense to ensure our 14-year-old kitty could live as long as nature demanded. There were no speeches ranted, no rules putting our cat's health and comfort over and above the rest of our responsibilities. We understand that there are horrific moments when, out of convenience, pets are tossed away like a worn-out recliner. It is perhaps at those times when no amount of scolding would ever work anyway. And it is because of those moments that I mourn for the people who are asked to terminate the perfectly healthy lives of those precious creatures; great and small. For our family, however, we are grateful and humbly indebted to the staff of VCA for their loving touch and soft-hearted kindness. For today, we buried our friend, our tossed-away abandoned Winn-Dixie kitten who gave us laughter, and love, and now rests at Rainbow Bridge. We were given beautiful angel pins and a sweet memory box that we will cherish. Inside the box, a pawprint, a poem, and our pet's name proclaimed VCA's unspoken dedication to not only our need for human compassion but also their devotion to their work which is not always pleasant. To anyone who came in after we left, who may not have something nice to say -- well, that's why I am leaving this here today. The ministry of presence is very hard - for the giver and the receiver alike - no one knows what someone else has just had to deal with, and after our experience last week with our own veterinarian who read us the riot act -- we will never complain about the set fees for services rendered. The price we paid in dollars today was much less than the price they paid in their giving of their time, attention, and love. It was seen in their eyes and in their tears as they cried with us.

Worst establishment in Anniston. Won’t sell me food that could save my kittens life because I have a balance. How is that caring for animals?? It’s not. Yes I acknowledge my debt but come on. It’s food an I just want to buy it.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. The vets listen thoroughly and are very gentle with your animals. They give detailed instructions if your pet is sent home with meds or other needs.

My sweet pug Louie, woke me up several Sundays ago with some scary gastrointestinal issues. I called VCA and as usual, the kind front desk staff gave me a time to bring him in. We got there, we were greeted and put in a room. The veterinary assistant ( I’m so sorry I didn’t get your name) came in and took a history etc. Immediately after we arrived, a few emergencies came in( snake bites etc) During the whole time, staff checked on us and let us know what what going on. I was offered water etc. Keri Hobgood came in with her usual wonderful self to check on us and meet Louie. The staff also took Louie back and did preliminary tests. Dr. Hoff came in and apologized for the wait. She got in the floor with Louie and examined him. She gave me her diagnosis, answered my questions and told me what to watch for etc. Dr. Hoff took her time with Louie and I which I appreciated… of course Louie fell in love with her. I know from past experience with Dr Hoff and my other fur babies that she’s an excellent diagnostician. Louie went back to the treatment area for some fluids and he was good to go with meds for his tummy. Dr. Hoff, the veterinary assistant and Keri all checked back in on us before we left. ( which Louie loved…. He tried to follow Dr H down the hall). Check out was smooth. They took my CareCredit and gave me everything I needed to file on Louie’s insurance. The special care we received that day is the reason I know my babies are in great hands at VCA of Northeast Al. No, this isn’t my regular vet, but they treat me and my babies as such. Dr Hoff and the rest of the staff I mentioned are the reason I keep coming back.

Do not take you dog here for emergency!!! The 500$ for the “emergency deposit “ is just to look at the dog basically! I was told it would be “several thousand dollars and would need half up front to start”( I was never given an actual number and it was a federal holiday so banks are closed)2 minutes after paying $500.00 “deposit “I ended up bringing my dog home In a bag instead of them helping our family member! I have proof of income etc. ZERO COMPASSION FOR DOG! Did try to tend to me just not my girl. Absolutely devastating! Please go somewhere else!

Far to expansive, not pleased overall with our experience. Would not suggest.

We drove all the way from Gadsden to this clinic to get help for my autistic son little dog he was having trouble breathing. They told us that their didn't have a vet there until 9am and they open at 6am. They didn't even offer to get any one of their 9 vets that was listed on the front door. So if you have emergency don't take your pet to this place cause they don't care.

I can’t even describe with words right now how I feel about this vet and their staff. Dr Hoff is very unprofessional along with another staff member that I didn’t get her name. My dog was attacked my two pit bulls and needed medical treatment. Her wounds needed cleaning and a few needed staples. She brought my dog back to me and refused to give her any treatment at all because she bit her and two other staff members. She was brought in with a muzzle and for some reason it was taken off of her during the process. However they did charge me 500$ up front to just bring her in after hours with no treatment. She talked to us very abruptly and told me she couldn’t even deal with us at the moment. I’m just floored at how we were treated. Me being a medical professional myself I’ve been bitten slapped and hit and I’ve never talked to my pts that way. Just very poor poor professionalism! Sickening really! I will also be posting this on social media and telling everyone I know not to use your clinic

VCA is so thorough with my sweet elderly girl. I had the pleasure of meeting 2 new people that I've never met before. The assistant that helped us is starting veteranian school soon, and he is already more thorough than most veteranians I have met in most recent years, not to mention he was personable and caring about our concerns and our sweet girl. The vet came in, and she was a young female, and she blew us away with how kind and caring she was. We have been to VCA many times in the past and have never received care like this before. These 2 people were AMAZING!!!

Dr Nelson is a great surgeon and the staff is great. My pomeranian had bilateral knee reconstruction from birth/genetic defect and this baby is way ahead of the weekly instructions. We have to slow her as to not over do it. The procedure he did will give my 7 month old pom a new chance in life of normalcy. I see many bad reviews on cost, and mine wasn't free, but I'd pay whatever to keep this baby comfy and happy for many more years. Thank you!!

definitely takes advantage of your situation. charged me 500$ to give me antibiotics and say they dont know what is going on. $300 of that was to draw blood and still not know what was going on(no where else charges that much to draw blood, most places are under $100) and it was obvious my dog had a growing mammory tumor yet the vet never mentioned anything about it, when i mentioned it the girl checking me out acted as if it was no big deal even though my dog was obviously in pain. the next day that huge lump that they acted as if it was no big deal BUSTED. had to go to a whole new vet and they knew what was wrong right away, had to do surgery and still didnt charge me near what this vet did to do nothing. dont waste your time or money because you will leave very disappointed with a sick dog.

If you don't have funds to pay in full up front, don't go here. They turned away our dying 10 week old puppy. My family is heartbroken. I get that business is business but clearly there is no compassion at all here. We weren't expecting to get him the emergency care he needs without paying. We just aren't able to pay hundreds up front. So if your furry family member is dying and it's a Sunday in between paydays and an emergency, they won't bother treating your pet.

Very efficient and kind. I had an emergency New Year's Eve day and my pup was very well treated. He got to go home same day and will be fine. I'm so grateful!
