Love this area! Peaceful and quiet.Dog-friendliness: Pick up after your dog and keep on a leash, and they are welcome.

Best facilities around but sometimes crowded. Having to pay for a whole week just to get a water front spot is little crazy with it.

My wife, brother-n-lay and his wife spent a week in one of the camping cabins. It had 2 bed rooms and a full bath. The kitchenette had a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and a small refrigerator. But no stove to cook on. We brought a crock pot and made due. We also drove into Alexander and ate out a few times. (15 minutes) There's a Walmart and plenty of eating places. Our cabin was right on the water. It had a very nice long dock to tie my boat up on. We fished as much as possible. Weather didn't cooperate. It got windy and COLD! Fishing wasn't good. Not many fish. There is a good fish cleaning station. All in all it was still a good time.FYI - Take a trip from the park to Horseshoe Bend National Military Park. It's 30 minutes away. Free entry and worth the drive. I also did a review on that park. Check it out.

Very beautiful place, woody, quiet place to enjoy the outdoors.Playground: Nice playground for kiddos to run around. ?Restrooms: Restrooms are clean, including showers and lit up at night.?Picnic area: Picnic tables and firepit for each camping ? site, the glamping tents are awesome, and have 2 hammocks per site and outdoor string lights for a relaxing night ambiance.

Camped here multiple times in 2019. Has great playground and good fishing spots in the campground. Bath houses are clean and tidy. Sites we have had were only slightly out of level. 1 block to level. Staff friendly and helpful. Improvements going on around the campground. Maybe cable but it’s camping. Verizon service acceptable. Limited over the air stations.

This was a very horrible experience. Not kept clean at all. Roaches, tall grass, rude employee that expected us to walk in a lot with running water that someone left pouring bec they didn't want to turn it off themselves and said they couldn't find any running, many of the lots are not neatly kept, and some have broken power boxes that don't work, we had to use the one next to us, the shower water runs out of the showers into the hallway, which causes a hazard. Worst camping experience I've ever had. And over priced as well. I would Not recommend this. I regret coming here and wished I'd only paid for a night. Apparently it was better years ago Bec the person who referred this place had been years ago. The 1st lot we were sent to was flooded and as I said above when we told the office, they asked if we turned the water off. I'm not walking in mud to do their job! I will not be back here!

The campsites were well placed with plenty of activities. There were a lot of lakefront sites. Three Bar internet. Bathrooms had been repainted and updated. *****

We love Wind Creek State Park Campground. We came here for a week every year for our kids fall break. The park is clean, the neighbors are nice. The campgrounds are always clean and nice looking. The lake is vast and beautiful.

The park is a very nice and friendly place to enjoy……except for the “park rangers” they will pull you for no reason. Or arrest you for voicing your opinion. Please be careful if you go here.

Watch out for Gerald Martin the Ranger.

I don't recommend camping here at all. For years, Ranger Gerald Martin has run rampant in Wind Creek like it's his own personal property. He has harassed and written many frivolous tickets over the years without any accountability even though there have been many dozens of complaints. What's worse, he has family on the local court that oversees Wind Creek's issued tickets so there will never be any justice over the way he acts.

Love this place! We drive up during hurricane season. The cabins are so cool and the lake is beautiful!
