Siluria Brewing Company
145 1st Ave W, AlabasterWe had so much fun at Siluria Brewing. We arrived early as they asked and parked so easily. The parking place was level all the way around! They open at 4 and we went in a bit before that. They were very happy to serve us some beers. We sat in front of the bay doors to enjoy the gorgeous day. We had a sampler of their dark beers. We really enjoyed the Buck Creek Stout!! It was fabulous!! We then decided to get a pint of the Buck Creek Stout. We sat on the back deck in the beer garden. They have a wonderful place with so much room. We really loved sitting outside enjoying our beers. At 5 pm we ate from the food truck called “Chef Joe” Hey Bebe. We had the red beans and rice and a Boululatta. Both were amazing and paired perfectly with another Buck Creek Stout. If we are ever in the area again, we plan on staying here. It’s such a fun place. I might mention that the place was packed. It was Trivia Night, but I suspect it’s this busy all the time because it’s a great place! We bought several beers and a t-shirt. Thank you for being a Harvest Host!!

Ivy League Brew
633 11th Ave SW, AlabasterWe had our daughter’s wedding reception here and it was great! It’s a brewery that specializes in Mead ( fermented honey to make alcohol) but they work with your party to provide any other drinks and catering you may need. But I have to say, the mead is delicious! The venue can seat around 100 counting the very cute outside seating area that has a fire pit and standing kerosene lamps. The inside floors are hardwood and the ceiling is dotted with decorative rustic chandeliers. They have a pool room and a cute Photo Booth which turned out to be a hit. They have a small stage for either DJ or band and enough room for dancing. This place has everything!

Frios Gourmet Pops - Alabaster
105 Newgate Road, AlabasterWe had Frios come to my work for an employee appreciation event. The group of us coordinating the event have nothing but great things to say about this truck! They were timely, efficient, fun-spirited, and pretty affordable too (especially in comparison to other frozen dessert options in the area). Everyone at the office loved the fun flavors and thought the pops tasted great. If you're looking for a frozen treat vendor for an event, I'd recommend trying Frios out!

Beneful Dream Dog Park
7305 Hwy 119, AlabasterThis is such an awesome dog park! But just a note - the water is currently turned OFF at the park, so you'll need to bring drinking water for your dog. I think the water may be turned off due to construction around the park - not sure, though.
