Probably the worst place I’ve ever been to. About three hours from home, I stopped here because my car was making a TERRIBLE noise, they took ages to get to me & said there was no wait, however had me sitting for ages, then I asked if the man if he could take my car for a drive & see the noise I was talking about, which he declined. Then took my car & lifted it up, only to tell me that “nothing looked wrong & I could leave my car if anything”. I told him I was far from home & just needed someone to tell me what was wrong with it even if they couldn’t work on it. He then told me that the boss would be in tomorrow if I needed any further assistance. He was EXTREMLEY dismissive & rude. I went down the street to nicks auto care where they were VERY kind & looked at my tires & told me my lug nuts were loose! If I had kept driving my tire would have come off. That proves that not only did the gentleman at this auto care facility not only didn’t look at my car, he didn’t care enough to even give my car a basic once over. Very unprofessional & I wouldn’t recommend their services to anyone.

I took my 1996 Corvette to Personal Auto Service in Alabaster for a transmission replacement. Jim and his team did an amazing job! The difference in how my car drives now is incredible. It’s reassuring to know that they use high-quality parts and have ASE-certified techs. Great service, fair prices, and trustworthy work. Highly recommend them for any car needs!

Was charged $250 for a $50 part. I was promised when the repair would be completed, they took an additional day. They did pick me up to get my car back when the repair was complete.

I moved from another state and was really nervous trying to find a good mechanic that I could trust. I took my car in to have an oil change and tires rotated. The gentleman that took all my info was great. He asked about my move, asked me about my family, talked about his family, where he came from before moving to Alabaster. That is the type of relationship I want to have again to have someone take care of my car. I will be taking my cars to them every time. Thank you for making me feel welcome.

I spent a total of $3,665 within a 30 day span with Jim at personal auto service, this was in may of 2023. I picked my vehicle up at the end of the month right before June 2023 started. I had everything from brakes , rotors , rear end , turn switch actuator, and air injection pump put on this vehicle. I had done whatever he said was needed, The owner looked me in my eye when I picked it up and said it ran perfect. I noticed immediately when I picked it up that the turn signal did not work correctly but I let it be. My wife was going to pick the kids up from daycare on August 9th 2023 and the rear end locked up on the interstate. The wheels locked and she was almost knocked off the road by an 18 wheeler. I contacted him the next day to see if the rear end was under warranty and he said no. He said that I could have it towed up there but it’d be a week before he could get to it. He took every last dime I had to my name of $3,665 all within a month. I am posting the invoices in the pictures below as proof of what I spent the month of May 2023. I have contacted the better business bureau about his business practices and have been in talks with my attorney about possible legal action. I hope this information can keep any hard working family far away from this man. I had a mechanic friend tell me the rear end looked as if it came straight out of a junk yard as well.
