“The front desk girl Staff was very nice and welcoming. The rooms were clean with the exception of the back of the bed, that could use some cleaning. The only issue I have was the person next to us they had their tv blasting all flipping night. Front desk did tried to knock on their door and call the room and they never answer. Other than that I will stay here again. I had fix the Review due to the Hotel charging us $10 apparently in case, something was broken after Checking out. It’s been 5 days and my $19 hasn’t been refund. Our friend also stayed with us at the same hotel and he end up getting charge twice for the room. CHECK YOUR BANK and make sure you get your REFUND and you didn’t get charge DOBLE.”

“If it's raining you're probably going to get wet, only the front door has cover and they ask you to enter either the side or back door that stay locked. Continental breakfast was very generic, on the lower end of the scale where taste is concerned. Good thing there are other options nearby. The rooms were clean, there was a decent little exercise room, there were snacks for sale near the front desk and vending machines.Rooms: Rooms near rear door slam all night making it impossible to get a good night sleep. Avoid if you care about sleep.”

“I lived a very short distance from this timeless place, in Hoover, Alabama. My Laboratory Associates and I couldn’t wait for the next excuse for spending our next weekend here. This is such an amazing place for Weddings! The pool is beautiful & the spa is AWESOME! The staff and food are always wonderful as well. #deStress #relaxingRooms: Large spacious, nice rooms and most all with a gorgeous view from the rooms of the gorgeous pool & Golf Course that surrounds the Marriott.Nearby activities: The boys and girls usually split up on Saturday mornings here after breakfast; the guys can’t wait to hit the golf course and the ladies of course head to the Riverchase Galleria Mall and then on to the outdoor Mall on Highway 280. These 2 Malls are my absolute personal FAVS ever! After a day of shopping, there’s not far to go for almost any restaurant / Bar - They line both sides of Hwy 280 as far as the eye can see!!Safety: I don’t recall ever seeing any safety issues. Modern technology seems to have this completely covered.Walkability: No issues whatsoever. This is a very large & spread out area we always had plenty of room for group exercise and then outdoor jogging as well.Food & drinks: As I stated before, the food and drinks were always superb. The employees, Chef and staff do an excellent job and go out of their way to please.Noteworthy details: Renaissance B’ham is perfect for business meetings or pleasure(I have obviously visited for both and no complaints. The rooms are quite spacious and there is plenty of room. The food was always also very delicious. I have attended at least 5 to 6 Weddings here, as well as 6 to 8 business/ leisure events.”

“Y’all, let’s talk about Brittany… first of all we showed up to the hotel in a terrible mood, late, because our last hotel we were at (non-Hyatt) was a terrible experience. Brittany was there with a huge smile and a positive attitude and ready to change our moods. We immediately knew we were in good hands. The experience of booking and getting into the room was painless and pleasant and she was so friendly. The CX here was so good, I will look at Hyatt first before going anywhere else. Now we are Hyatt rewards members and already looking forward to booking our next stay.Brittany - if you read this, thank you! Hyatt, if your reading this, get this girl a CX award, she certainly earned it last night!”

“If you are looking for luxurious, may I recommend the Elyton Hotel. However, if what you seek is clean, comfortable, and affordable, this is THE place to stay in the Birmingham metro area. The staff was very friendly, and the included breakfast was well stocked. I noticed extra padding in the carpet which no doubt helped the rooms stay quiet allowing for a good night's rest.”

“Stayed 2 nights here while in town working at the Finley center for a tradeshow. Staff was very nice on check-in, and breakfast is served early enough before getting out for the morning. Small indoor pool and jacuzzi. Great location to chick Fila and starbucka in the morning.”

“The value is definitely there. Good breakfast. I would give it 4 stars but there were ants in one room so they changed us out and the room they put us in 521 could be pushed open if you didn't bolt from inside. Customer service was really nice.Noteworthy details: There are no USB ports in any of the lamps or outlets. There was also an electrical surge.”

“Always a warm greeting and a processional attitude. If you are not sure why you should pay a little more, go stay in a different hotel and YOU WILL KNOW why the Hyatt is Americas choice for clean sleep.”

“I give this hotel a 0 cause my boyfriend was down last week working night shift did not get off until early morning came in while trying to sleep during the day it was very loud in the hall ways. Did not get much sleep had people banging on the door threating to kick the door in while we was trying to sleep at 11:25 am. Cause he had to work night shift like I said we also seen Roach bugs in the bathroom witch is nasty. On the last day of him staying there was very loud he got woke up to kids and adults being very loud and running throw the hall ways while he was trying to sleep cause he there for again had to work a night shift. Don't recommend anyone to stay here at all.”

“Room was clean and smelled good. Although there was a stain on the towel, the TV had damage to it, and the curtains were not black out…it was 100% worth the price and I would stay here again. They offer Dove products for the shower which was a really nice touch and it’s a great location. I recommend staying here.”

“The staff here gets 5 stars. The hotel itself gets 3 so I made it 4 for an average. I was in town for a loved one's final days. I am from Birmingham so this is home for me. Liz, the operations manager was the first employee I saw and she greeted me and made me feel so welcome. I met the manager Jamel he is new to this location (he's been here a week?). I shared my story with him and he took the time to talk to me about his experiences. Sophia, the night auditor was simply amazing. I brought a few issues to her attention one night and she promptly resolved each one. She's truly one of the best customer service people I've ever encountered. Jamel, Chantel, and Liz all went out of their way to buy me a sympathy card. They left a basket of fruit and snacks on my bed. The employees are really fantastic!! As for the room, it's not the staff's fault but the sink was running muddy water because of construction nearby, the security lock on my door was loose (it was fixed the next morning after I told Sophia about it), and my phone in my room just doesn't work (an issue with the line itself). So while I had some issues (the Internet went out one night for about 2 hours also), the employees here saved the day. I'll take the small inconveniences all day if there are people working who care and work to keep you happy. You will be treated really well here and I will stay here again. Thank you Jamel and staff for taking such great care of me!!”
