This is our forever jeweler.Ron helped us design my engagement ring, and took the time to help me choose what I liked, and helped me to understand every different option, their pros and cons, why something looked nice or would have timelessness and durability. He was much more informative than any source you would scour on your own. He brought several diamonds out from the vault, and let us inspect them with him using his jewelers lens, and also let us look at them on my finger in the sunlight. My ring was created by Colton perfectly to be unique and exactly what I wanted, and every time Barskys cleans and polishes it (at no charge), it looks as new as it did the day we were engaged. Choosing my ring was a wonderful, joyful, forever memory that my fiancé and I both talk about often, and Ron made this process perfect and exciting and everything that it is supposed to be. Someone compliments my ring every day, and I don’t think I’ll ever stop wearing it!Ron helped me choose a style of wedding band to compliment my engagement ring, and Colton then designed a uniquely beautiful ring that was more stunning than I ever could have imagined on my own. Colton did this during COVID lockdown, and many people touched the CAD design of the ring, but only Colton was able to make it right and perfect. I have never seen another band so perfect, so intricately and delicately detailed, or so thoughtfully created. When I look at it, I know that there will never be another ring like mine, or that is so perfectly me. It compliments my engagement band perfectly, as though they were made together, but both can be worn separately. Colton is forever part of our story.When I needed a new piece specially designed, we knew that only Colton and Barskys could do this for us. I wanted a delicate signet style ring to hold the footprint of my heart dog, who passed away, so that he can walk me down the aisle, and wherever I go in life. I also wanted to be able to stack rings with footprints or nose prints of our other dogs over time. I’d searched for ideas for a long time, and we sat with Colton and he asked for stories about Mozart, for pictures, he was genuinely empathetic, kind, and compassionate. He guided me through choosing what style band would look best for this project, and accommodated every desire I had for such a delicate piece. When he sent his initial renderings, his conceptualization of what this piece could be far exceeded what I had imagined for so long. He’s given me back a small piece of my heart, and there is something particularly special to us to know that Barskys has been part of so many of our important life events, and more so, that we can trust them with these critically important events.Ron and Colton will forever have our business, and we will never use another jeweler other than Barskys. “I had a ring appraised recently and it was a quick and straight forward process. I called ahead of time with the GIA report number and then came in with the ring later that day. Was there for maybe 30 minutes and left with the appraisal letter. Larry was really pleasant to work with and didn't (seem to) mind my son climbing all over the seats while we waited. I'd definitely come here again for an appraisal or if i find myself in the market for a diamond (ha ha, I wish!).”

They listened to my ideas on metal and stone choices, provided some welcome input and answers to my questions, and then quickly put together a mockup that was exactly what I wanted. “I rarely take the time to write a review, however my experience with Gemological Resources was well worth noting. I went there for an appraisal for a ring for an insurance claim, with the intention that they would do the work on the ring when the claim was paid. Unfortunately the ring had more damage than we thought and the repairs were more than my insurance would allow. I opted to pick up the ring and just send it the insurance company to do the repair. Not only were they so gracious to me, but took all the time to advise me and were so knowledgeable. When I asked them what I owed them for all the time and research they did over a week they said there was no charge. Absolutely no one gives this exceptional customer service. I highly recommend them.”

“As a thirty year old man who has no experience with jewelry, I was in need of some guidance for an engagement ring I wanted to buy. A close family friend had recommended John Anthony. I stopped in one day and told the father and son duo what I was thinking. They couldn’t have been more helpful. Not only did they help me through the process, the educated me and explained the entirety of the ring, the diamond, the process of how it’s made. I was in there for hours talking with them both and it felt like five minutes. I had some stones from my then fiancés late father that John happily agreed to put into this ring. I put the order in and within a few weeks, I had the exact ring I was looking for and it looked amazing.I went back for the wedding band and it was the same experience. At this point I had only met these guys a couple times, but I felt like I knew them for years. This is why it’s important to go to “mom and pop” shops, to support local businesses. I would not have gotten the experience and comfort I did if I had bought a ring at a chain or online. Engagement rings are expensive, so you want to make sure you are making the right decision. And with John Anthony, I know I did.Along with the jewelry, they provided me the appraisals and all documents for record keeping and insurance.I will be coming back to these two again in the future.”
